I need help deciding...

Alright, guys. Some people may realize that I've recently...stumbled into nearly $700, and I'd like help deciding what I'm going to buy: I've decided that it will be a video game, but...I'd like one of the newer systems...
Everyone has a Wii; hell, that's why I got a DS, to play games with my friends...
However, both the 360 and PS3 have games that interest me; PS3 has Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and, as some of you have heard, if you were on IRC, I recently Master Ninja'd the original for the XBox. The PS2 has a wide selection of RPGs, but I don't have the time to play them, with my ship date fast approaching...and the PS3's firmware bars a decent amount of them from being played.
The 360 has a wide selection of games, as well, which include FPS games, which I am also rather fond of...
The Wii has its VC, but still a distinct lack of my favorite genre, with some call SHMUPS(I call them x/y scroll-shooters), as well as a selection of fun games, platformers and the like... So, MSF, you decide, because I've got better things to worry about...

Get a Wii when you can, I agree on that. However, looking at the upcoming line up of games I would almost suggest the ps3 at this point since the games that make a system worth buying are right around the bend. On another point, the 360 already has a fairly nice collection of already released games to choose from and a few good ones still coming up. Still, I would advise the ps3 at this point since its price dropped and what is coming.

Its going to have a price drop, but is the price drop worth both of the ohter things? Which he would be able to afford easily under 700 bucks..

Um... Absolutely not da' PS3. It's way overpriced.
But not to go into a rant, I would recommend the 360 if your into the online gig and the Wii if you enjoy the classic series like Mario and Zelda. Smash Brothers Brawl looks good for the Wii, but I hope to God that they add online play for that. The 360 online is superior to any other currently up and running. I have a 360 mehself and enjoy long hours of 'pwning nuubs' in various games.

Buy a Wii, they're putting out a Naruto: Clash of the Ninja game with more characters than contained in games 1-4.

I'm not a real big fan of the mainstream anime things; their filler episodes kinda killed it. I was interested in Bleach, slightly, but neither suit me.

There are alot of games I could never see myself buying because they are general crap... but could be awesome because of the Wiimote.. such as pirates.

I'd mostly go for the Wii, but I wouldn't mind a 360 as well, but it's up to you, man.

Based on the kind of games the systems have and will have, the 360 should be good now and okay later for entertainment, the PS3 should soon provide your standard PS entertainment and probably be consistent for a while, but I think that the Wii has more that can be invested in, depending on your tastes. Plus, I think we'll be seeing some more inventive, different-from-the-norm kind of games in the coming years, as the Wii's potential becomes fully utilized.
