I like the lunar calendar. Thirteen, twenty-eight-day months and one set aside for the new year.

The moon has greater signifigance to a person who prefers to sleep days and stay awake at night where he can. As such, I choose lunar.

Yay for the sun!
It grants warmth and life.
The moon grants... well... werewolf stories. Which are cool, I guess...

Moon! I choose you!
Moon Praise by Me
Sphere in the sky, shining with pale light
Pearl of the night, making darkness bright,
Lunar might, proves dark lasts not forever.
Shine upon the earth, through hours needed,
Light upon the soul that would be conceited.
Blaze white, O wondrous pearl of the world,
The darkness wound around us now unfurled,
Light in the deepest dark, island in the wide blue sea.
We call to you when surrounded by despair.
For hope you give us, when hope is very rare.
Lunar gleam, lunar glow, be a beacon in the dark of night.
Gaze upon us, silent caregiver, keep us safe from fright.
For even we are flowers that may bloom upon your sight.
Children of your sister, Earth, caress us with your light.
Moon and Earth, raise us to be as you are, pure and right.
Cry for the moon, all Man, because it loves us so,
Wail in the gloom, for what some will never know.
The guidance in it's radiance, will always be in view.
Wayward offspring are we, who visit not as often,
Hard walls containing things forgotten, someday soften.
Shine bright forever, until Man is ready to go,
To be no longer adrift in the Milky Way flow.
Outward to the stars, and to a greater destiny.
Mother Earth and her sister, Moon, remember,
Keep us in your hearts, an always-glowing ember.
We will always recall, the life from whence we came,
Though we may change, perhaps you'll stay the same.
And we shall return to the place where we began.
To the warmth of Earth and the light of our moon,
For now we are here...our leaving...is not yet soon.

Are you sure it's not karaoke day for those of us that enjoy the Solar calender?

Karaoke during the day? Heresy!
Why spoil a perfectly good cycle of precious sunlight with that abhorrent hobby?

It wasn't a karaoke night, it was a Night of Composing.

An lo did it strike a chord. Deep down, inside.
And I think it's funny that no one has said what makes sense about the solar calendar other than being accustomed to it. Pft.

I can't plan a month in advance. Days, on the other hand, are another story. Significantly smaller and easier time frame to work with. :3

You're talking about the lunar calendar, you dope. It has twenty-eight days a month like a month should have, so what if there's an extra month? (Thirteen's better. ;p) I find that easier than remembering which months have thirty days and which have thirty-one days. Just about anyone can tell you that the easiest month to remember, in regard to the amount of days it has, is February. Besides, it makes more sense to me to put the new year as a day all of its own, outside of the months. And the moon is how we measure the days and thus the months in the first place.

Nono. I'm talking about days. Or more specifically, the hours of the day. Daytime spent in class and studying, night time spent sleeping and relaxing. :O
Or, depending on what's up, meetings, trips or whatever. I don't plan my months. Just days. :P

We're talking calendars, not daily schedules. Two different things. ;/
