I dunno. I just find the language cute. At least when spoken by the fairer sex.

Japanese is useful for speaking in a manner that sounds cute at least. It is also surprisingly good at anger and at pathos. To be honest i mostly think that it is a question about how people choose to speak the language, though. Pretty much any language can express any emotion and it is just that some does it more than other. Also i never understood the connection between French and love. Anybody able to explain it?

I'm going to say yes. But what does that make English?
Anyway, I do think Japanese sounds pretty cute (sort of why I'm wanting to learn it, actually), not to mention the fact that Japan has some of the cutest characters ever created. That's not exaggerating, either.

Probably because they're not so good at war, so they make it up with love. ;p
Haylie:
English is the language of village idiots? XD

I will have to disagree with you, Helel. Japanese builds toward the Kanji with Kana, as far as I know, and that's too different in comparison to French versus Latin. Ghetto would be the less-used Chinese dialects. Japanese would be more like suburban Chinese.
What a strange conversation.

I'm using the term rather loosely, but your disagreement aside, I stand with what I said, along with the note that I have to intent to ever learn Japanese.
God love anime and all, but people can memorize a bajillion words and such from Japanese for me. I'll focus my energies elsewhere. :p

Speaking of loose... I see you're packing some junk in that trunk. Have you been cutting it at a club, lately?

More like dodging mortars. Aires/Tiberius was trigger happy the other day. Yeesh. I think he may have blown up France, actually.
Edit: The world may have been made in six days... But Aires destroyed it in one- even if he'd draw it out longer than that, just for the sake of more explosions.

Japanese isn't related to Chinese though. Supposing you accept all the Japanese dialects as being dialects and not closely related, but separate, languages Japanese is only really related to one language that being Ryukyu or Okinawan. Apart from that some similarities in grammar and vocabulary can be found between Japanese and Korean and Japanese and Uighur, neither of those being in anyway related to Chinese. Korean is about as big a mystery as Japanese, whereas Uighur is a Turkish language. And these links and even very close and might be as caused by coincidence as by any real relationship between the languages. The only similarity between Chinese and Japanese is the use of the same characters, though there are differences, especially between continental Chinese and Japanese.
