Magical Sailor Fuku

Aside from the poll is there anyone that would be in the know about how this trend got started? Did it get started over at Mashiro's place or had the trend picked up earlier? I only have a good idea of the quantity, not the when and the why of it.

I'm looking at you for an answer in particular, TG-art-topic-people.

People just have way too much spare time on their hands, really. As such, we have a lot of Kyonko's, female Clouds and so forth. It's a fad thing, I suppose.
