When you pay at the register...

Just wondering. Whatever makes it possible to make a new polls topic. ;p

As for me, I prefer to pay the exact amount when I can. I figure that the cashier needs change for those that will receive said change, so... It helps keep things in balance.

If I have the change, and I'm not too lazy or not in a rush, I may pay the exact amount. :P I usually only carry twenties with me in my wallet.

I'll go with the third one as well, if only to annoy you. It might also be used as a way to get rid of the mountain of pennies I've hoarded.

I mostly use my debit card, these days. But when I pay with cash, I try to give exact change as much as I can. Make it easier on the cashier.

I usually use my cards to pay for stuff, as it's easier for me to keep track of EXACTLY how much money I have.

But if I do have cash, I'll generally pay the exact amount if I have change on hand and if I'm not in too much of a rush.

I'll use a card if I don't have enough cash with me to buy whatever it is. But if I'm buying something with more cash than I have with me, its either gas for the car, or its something that I didn't originally plan to pay for. So normally I pay with change if I have enough change, and if I'm not in a hurry. Its easier for the cashier to get change from the machine than it is for me to get change to give to the cashier.

If I pay with cash, I'll pay with bills + quarters. Any nickels, dimes or pennies generally gop into the first tip jar I find, leaving me with convenient quarters. Anything smaller isn't usually worth the effort IMHO.

The delete button only appears in certain forums. The polls is one of those that it is disabled I believe as I've ran across that problem too.

I tend to pay with paper money if I have it on me. I've been known to buy gum when all I have on me is a $100 bill and chuckling the whole time.
