Besides, it has to be longcat, because it has a montage, a theme song, and, of course, it came first. Tacgnol wouldn't exist if longcat hadn't been conceived first. It's automatically inferior, much like Satan is to God.

And I tried to look for widehog, having never heard of it, and it doesn't seem to exist in any form on Google. So I watched a fun caturday video instead.

Oh, wait, that says widedog, not widehog. Still, cats are better. I hear about a dog having its day, but only cats have their caturday. ;p

Longcat is white, and that name spelled backward is black.

Tacgnol because I am a fan of black cats, plus if I'm seeing it correctly Longcat is a white cat with blue eyes so he is likely deaf. He already has a disadvantage there alone.

A house cat with blue eyes doesn't mean it's deaf. You might as well be calling all Siamese cats deaf, then. And I've lived around enough of them to know that they're not.

A white cat with blue eyes is statistically inclined to be deaf or at least hard of hearing. I had one once and it got itself ran over. I looked it up and it seems to be a genetic defect most of those particular animals have. Being a house cat isn't the issue, its the inbreeding that went into creating a white furred, blue eyed cat.

Perhaps. I kind of thought it was a bigger problem with larger cats and other animals, like dogs. Other than that, aren't the eyes of house cats blue during the first few days or weeks of its life? I can't remember.

Been over 10 years since the last time I saw a newly born kitten so I can't say what color their eyes are. My memory is good but its not that good.

With a quick Googling I found my memory hasn't failed me, so, yes, all kittens have blue eyes for a short time after birth. But not all cats with blue eyes (with or without white fur) will be deaf. It depends on the genes responsible for the appearance, not the appearance itself.
