So, this was coming up when I gave blood along with several of my friends lately, but for various reasons, knowing your blood type can be pretty handy. Blood types later came up when there was a discussion about their frequency in my Statistics even more recently, so here we go. :O

The question is this: if you know it, what's your blood type?

I've been wanting to know for a long time. How can I find out without giving blood? Is there a way to find out in my medical records?

Other than that, I've kind of assumed that I either have B or AB. The former because I have veins that show up on my thigh as a capital B, and the latter because I could always precede the initial of my first name with it. ;p

Giving blood, having blood work done, stuff like that. For some, like my father who is fifty and is a huge wuss when it comes to needles and blood in general, it took just asking the doctor to run a test on his blood just so he could find out what the hell his blood type was after much 'encouragement' from the rest of the family, since he was the ONE person that didn't know what his blood type was> Granted between his parents, my brother and I, and my mother, we were kinda able to take an educated guess, and we were basically right. I honestly don't know, as it's never been tested. I thought about donating when I turned eighteen, just to find out. But when I had my wisdom teeth out, I discovered that I inherited my mother's tendency for deep, difficult to find veins. It naturally followed that I didn't want some untrained or cow-handed technician sticking my arm time and time again just to find something to get that needle into. Hence, I've never donated, even though I would like to. Finding out my blood type has thus far been less desirable than avoiding being made into a human pin cushion.

Nary a clue. Even if I could give blood, I don't know if I would. All I know is that it's very common and there's not really much point for me to.

That, and I'd have to give up junk food for a while, and that's a bit beyond my limits.

But it doesn't matter, I'm too skinny to give blood, anyway.

I'd like to know without giving blood since I think I'll lose stuff for fighting viruses and all that. I want to make sure that my immune system's as good as it can be, what with having a poor diet and general lack of food.

I am pretty sure, the last time i had it checked, i was O+ ... or was it AB-....meh.

I wish I knew, I volunteered to donate blood for my brothers sake back when I was 12ish (long story) and I might have known back then but my mind was probably full of too much crap to take note of it.
I should raid my universitys lab for some blood antigen serum and test it :O

Ok, I do. Dunno what type it is though. Never been bothered to go pester the NHS over it.

I don't know my blood type, I'm a bad person. x_X
