I think this one is pretty straightforward, really.

How common is your name, based on your experience?

Experience doesn't exactly work for me, since I've spent more than half of my life keeping to myself. But when I was in school, or went to kingdom hall (Jehovah's Witnesses' version of a church), I always knew at least one other Chris.

Statistically, however, my full name, Christopher, is among the most popular of American names. Other derivatives of it, including the shortened version, cross the gender barrier; and it can also be used as a surname and middle name.

Christ knew how to get around.

Incredibly common. Almost unbelievably so...

Mine is fairly uncommon. I've met a couple people with the same name as me, over the years, but I could likely count them on the fingers of one hand. To my mind, your name is officially uncommon when you're the only person in your graduating class with your first name. Unless that class is ultra-tiny, that is.

There was one point at school where there were five different Mike's. Then, when I got a job, eventually another Mike showed up. There was a Mike at a Game Stop I went to not long ago. There was more than a few customers at Reasor's with my name. There are a few famous people with my name.

The Name of the Arch Angel is a common one.

My first name is common, but not on guys.

hmm... how common was it... first year of college... there were 4 other people on the same floor of the same building as me. 2 in the same suite as me...
