Since I'm socially-removed and whatnot, I can't answer this myself based mostly on a common thread that I find in transgender-related media. I also see it pop up in Japanese media, too; but not enough to tell how prevalent it is. So... Your thoughts?

As for this question: It depends on the TYPE of ice cream. Ice Cream by itself isn't considered 'Girly' it's when you get one that's made up with all sorts of sweet candies/cookie stuff stuck in it, it's suppose to be considered a 'Girly' treat.

That's why Ranma would only eat that one ice cream dish while female. Because it looked so girly like that he wouldn't be caught dead eating it while male.

But cookies and candy aren't ice cream. They're cookies and candy. Toppings. They don't define ice cream as being ice cream; it just creates a variety out of the ice cream that already exists. Nyuck, nyuck, nyuck!
