Do whatever you want to do. ;p If I did what you were suggesting than I'd never be able to keep up with it myself. I prefer to keep my name and avatar separate from transformations, so I can change them on a whim, since it's more for my presence and my persona on the forums in general than a reflection of what I'm doing. But if I did decide to go the route you suggest, I'd much rather catalogue my present state in my signature, both in literary and visual form. But that's just me.

Change it when you want it to be universal, break off when you want.

Okay, maybe that's a bit mean, but still. It's all up to you, man. Unless, of course, somebody's holding a gun to your head, in which case it's all up to them.

I generally don't worry about my avatar except for it looking cool and giving an idea of what Helel generally looks like. Thread by thread, the avatar may not work so well, but generally it does. I'd go with that (having a general avatar of some sort) rather than changing the avy every other day due to some TF or whatever unless you're really attached to a certain avatar or form.
