Do I take stuff too seriously when I RP in the Muffin Room?

This question has been on my mind for a while now. I want to know how everybody feels and what I can do to not be so serious. No dissing or flames saying "how stupid" my question is please. I truly want to know and what I can do to make it better.

From what little I've seen, you do, at least a bit. The thing about free-form roleplaying is that people are less likely to think along the same lines, and respond accordingly. Plus there's the whole thing where people have a ton of bugs up their butts, just waiting for a particular transformation and/or theme to make their life oh-so-terrible so they can make you feel bad about it.
So few are willing to accommodate anyone anymore, but still expect others to satisfy their own needs, so I said screw it. It's not worth it.

I'm not certain I'm qualified to answer that. I don't go in there much anymore.
Though from what I remember, I think your sense of humor could maybe use some fine-tuning. Just a little.

That is exactly what people at work say to me. It's kind of hard for me considering my mental disability. I will do the best I can to fine tune my sense of humor. It will more than likely take a long time though. I wasn't blessed with a great sense of humor that some people were blessed with though I do have one, I just have to work on fine tuning it quite a bit.
Thank you. This poll runs for two weeks so please stop by and let me know and suggestions to help me perform better in Muffin Room RP'ing would help too. I do believe I am getting a bit better though.

For me, the problem with you is that since my character doesn't like your characters, you often pm me thinking I personally don't like you which is untrue. I do think you have been doing better in the muffin room since your first posts there, I just think you need to loosen up a bit.

Well I am trying my best to do so. I have to stop getting mixed up between IC and OOC comments. Thank you for your opinion and suggestion Sam, i appreciate it. I've got get it through my thick skull that when peoples characters dis my characters it's not a dis toward me, but toward my characters. Thanks again.
Refresh me on what my first subject was when I first started posting there. I know this is way overdue, but thanks for introducing me to the Muffin Room! I appreciate it!

In the end, so long as you accept what you're asking for (such as the opinions here in this poll), you should be fine. It's nice for the people that decide to stick their neck out and speak candidly. Because I think my feelings are important.
Just a little humor, there.

Honestly, I can't tell very well since it's difficult for me at times to differentiate between serious and humorous role-playing. At least, in a place as weird as the Muffin Room.
