Magical Sailor Fuku

I'm thinking of running a story contest for Halloween upcoming, and was just curious if there'd be many interested in participating (ie: writing a (short) story).

I have nothing official thought up in rules yet, though some ideas bouncing around in my mind. If there seems to be support, I'll draft them up, and maybe bribe my comod to help be a judge. ^.^;

Something tells me that we're gonna have unbalanced seasons here, that is, a lot of Autumn. I was gonna vote that but it's already been done twice so I'm gon' actually choose what I'd vote for. Spoilsports.

I'm interested in the contest, any limits to what we can do if you decide to make it?

prolly be a min/max word count limit (thinking thousand to twelve thousand) - and be loosely linked to a theme (for Halloween, yanno ^.^) - and, being MSF, certain content limitations too: no strong cussing (the bad bad words have to be edited out or not in), no sex or graphic violence 'on screen'...

See, Ducky, that's the good thing about hosting a contest. You can't, ethically, participate, so no pressures to do so. ^.^

Maybe, but it depends on my classwork load over the next fewweeks.

I'm interested. I need to be more active in my posts and this will be a perfect way to do that.

Sounds potentially interesting and fun, as I love to write. However, it all hinges on getting an appropriate story idea and the parameters involved. Question: as you said it was a contest, would there subsequently be a prize of some sort? If so, what might you use?

Same here, though not due to "laziness", per se... I'm still pondering how to write that story generator thing I got, which, for all the ideas I can work with, I'm trying to figure out certain elements (like what a fable genre would be, and that's basically the only thing that I can't work out). But first I'm finishing up the last bit of a story I'm writing for someone else. *Glances deliberately at Skyblue*

(And in a week this thread will be moved, Fall. I figured, for calling me Mikkou, I could call you that. ;p)

Well, I'm the second Autumn (well, third by vote sequence o.o). I didn't realize I was so popular to be... o.o

Anyway, the draft rules are up in the mod forum, so when I get final approval, and the final listing of the judges, I'll do a post with the information.
