Pain is the name of the game.

And so is rhyming. XD
Anyway, I scratched up my arm pretty good while digging through six or so feet of thick thorn bush to get a football yesterday, but for me it didn't hurt at all. Not that I didn't feel all the scratches, punctures and skin nabbing; it just doesn't bother me. So, naturally, I wondered how other people can endure pain. ^o^

It really depends on the type of pain...When I shattered my knee I actually walked down a set of stairs and drove to the hospital without to much trouble. On the other hand burns/cuts/punctures really really annoy me.

As Temet said, it really depends on what kind of pain...
Pesky little pains... those annoy me, but bigger ones... I don't really react much to those.

Both Tenshi and Temet are right that different kinds of pain are different. In general i would say that pain that is somehow continuous or repeating is much worse than quick pains that happens once and then are gone. That being said i would really like to be able to resist pain better, it would be nice to be able to go to the dentist without being it hurting almost before they start prodding in my mouth.

As for me, I'm the type that could take a bullet wound to the chest, but would then wince while it's being treated.
If I get in a mood, I can take a good amount of pain, but normally, I'm a bit of a wuss.
I tend to win pretty much every time, when I play that game where you hold onto a shocker thing. But sometimes I don't want to play it in the first place!
I once held onto a shock pen for a LONG time...

certain types of injuries that one gets, one may not feel much or any pain due to the nerve endings being split. and yet others just dont feel certain types of pain maybe due to them not having many pain recepters in the area of the pain. but anyways yeah i can handle pain a whole heck of alot better if i am ready for it or know its comming.

At the point of inflicting a wound upon me, I can handle it. Days later, I'll try to get back into the normal swing of things regardless of pain.
Kouryuu calls me a masochist at times, but I can take pain fairly well.

I'm truthfully a bit of a wimp when it comes to pain, though I can be stoic about it if really necessary.

I can take a hit, every now and then, emotionally and physically. Years of tempering can do that to a person. that doesn't mean I like it.

It really depends on the pain, and my mood. If I'm in a bad mood, the pain only makes it worse and my tolerence is lower, while if I'm going something I enjoy, I can try and put it out of my mind.

I can't handle pain well at all. I'd rather not dwell on it, in fact, so this is going to be a rather short post. ^^;

presently there is a 4 inch gash on my left upper-inside arm. I don't remember it happening, but man does it bleed

Eh? What is this pain you speak of?
As the man who walked two miles with a shattered ankle not feeling a damn thing, I ask you...what is this pain you speak of?
