Again...? -_-

If there's one thing that does get under my skin to some degree, it's when I have to repeat myself or redo something when I shouldn't have to.

I'm not talking about doing something again because you want to... But having to spend more time than you wanted doing something because you had to do it again. Perhaps because of an accident of your own doing, a freak accident that adds perplexion to frustration, or some ninny that messes up something who should have known better. Either way it boils down to having to do something again.

For instance, I had just started Tales of Legendia yesterday and was getting into it, looking forward to see what I would do next. Then I let a ten-year-old, who I had supposed had had enough experience with saving data (I mean, I've seen her save things before without a problem), play it when she asked. I should have trusted my gut and watched over her, but I'm too trusting... Or apathetic... Or something. Regardless, I now have to redo twelve hours worth of work. Might've been alright if I had already finished the game and wanted to play through it again, but I want to make progress and see what happens next, not go through what I've already done again. Especially since I had just started it! >.<

Fortunately, I cool off pretty fast, so I usually just steam to myself for a few seconds before I return to my usual placid, dead-to-the-world self. <.<;

Hmmm...yeah, frustrating.
I was miding my own business, playing Gradius III in hard difficulty, and finally got to the last 'world' without dying, and my brother was all like 'Oops, my bad.'
He ripped the cartidge out of the SNES, and then tried to put it back in to make it work again.
I would've beaten him up if there wasn't a convenient wire hangar to hang him up in the closet with.

I was playing Disgaea, and talking with my little brother. I quickly saved it, and turned off the power. Then I thought for a minute, and realized it didn't finish saving!

I booted it up, and...Data Corrupt! (Actually, this playthrough I've been doing better, so I didn't mind...)

Then I was playing Kingdom Hearts I, I was on Hollow Bastion, and just as I saved there was a freak lightning strike. We lost power, and...data corrupt.

Repetition bugs the heck out of me, but I'm a big picture person. If I have to do something 50 times to get what I want done, so be it.

At work I have to do the same thing hour after hour. So repition doesn't bother me.

That's different, though. You expect it, and it's a requirement in your job. So it can't become an actual setback in terms of getting something done because it's a part of a routine. This repetition that's brought up here is about hav to repeat something that wasn't planned and makes you do something again that you didn't have to voluntarily.

Yeah, repetition doesn't bother me MUCH, it's just when I have to do something that doesn't actually need to be done(or wouldn't if it hadn't seemingly been National F***-Up Day)
Jobs don't count :3

Unplanned repetition is one of the things I hate most in the world.

I had played Makai Kingdom for 200+ hours and one day let my 9 year old brotherplay it on his own save file and I left the room, as I do very often. However, for some reason this day just had to different. He came to me about an hour later to tell me that he had accidently saved over my data!

That was so annoying I decided to delete his out of spite and I have yet to even start on the game again.

I don't mind repeating some things, especially if it is to try and refine something I'm working on, but I absolutely detest having to repeat something I've spent a lot of time doing, like replaying a chunk of a game after losing a save.
