Information stuffs.

While I like the three virgin goddesses, of the three I like Hestia the most. She is the master of disaster! ;p Well, of the house to be exact, but close enough. <.<;

For me, it's kind of hard to choose. I'm split between Dionysus (god of wine and merrymaking) and Apollo (god of prophecy and healing).

I actually have thyrsus (staff crowned with ivy, sacred to Dionysus) leaning in the corner of my living room, and I can always enjoy a good bottle of wine.

On the other hand, I've always been intrigued by anything to do with prophecies and prophets, and I figure you can't go wrong with the god of healing. Plus, Apollo's weapon of choice is a bow and arrow, my personal favorite old school weaponry.

Athena all the way for me. I love wisdom and knowledge and at the same time kinda believe in just war...

No one else can compare except Hermes because he's pretty badass :D

there are more then the ones listed up there... can't remeber there names though and they were kind of minor so i guess that's kind of moot. honestly not sure... they all are kind of selfish and self full filling beings... prob hades or artemis though.

Xia:

Woof? O.o

Zero:

Yeah, I know. Like Leto, Rhea, Thebe, among a few others. But rather minor. They mostly stem from Zeus' generation and afterward.

Direka:

Then make a Norse deity poll. ;p

She's more closely associated with the stag or deer or something, so I didn't catch on. XD

But Eris isn't an Olympian deity. Been too long for me to be sure, though. Probably a child of Nyx or soemthing.

I chose Ares, because you didn't put Eros up there.

What about Hekate? Even Zeus had to ask a favor of her.

Eris, the goddess of discord, is the daughter of Ares. And I like Athena the best, because she is the goddess of wisdom, cunning, and rightous conflict. She is also relatively the least mean of the Olympian deities, even if she is a bit deceitful.

She also gets a cameo in a story of mine, where she ends up causing the Olympian deities to have ANOTHER rebellion, and ends up the new Queen of the Gods. This time, ruled not by power, but by Justice.

Eris also makes a cameo, and is responsible for the final bit of character growth in Lilith "Lily" Evelyn Andraia Croft. (And ends up killing her, though Lily gets better.)

Mitchell:

Ah, right. And Hestia is probably the nicest of the bunch. Though that's mostly because she tends to the home, people's sanctuary, and doesn't meddle in anyone's affairs. She's certainly aloof, though.

Amanda:

Well, there are several reasons. For one, she was never among the twelve (though I believe it's really thirteen). And she's not the only one that Zeus would defer to or is scared of because he lacks in some area in some fashion. Such as Nyx. When her son, Morpheus, was being chased by Zeus, he didn't pursue him any further once Morpheus reached her. Zeus also relies on two or three, but particularly one (forgot her name) goddess that can foresee the future. So it doesn't have to do anything with being special or better or equal to Zeus to make it as an Olympian deity. Also, Hekate is one of those confusing deities where the origin is uncertain. It seems like she's a Titan in the sense of what Zeus granted her for all of the power and abilities that she had, but in another fashion she's the daughter of Zeus and Perses. Though that's just basing it off of what I read. If you can provide more thorough information, that would be great.

OwS:

I didn't put Eros up there because he's another deity that, for one, didn't get much "air time." Mentioned a lot, certainly, but the roles he did partake in was usually for the convenience of another deity. But, more importantly, who and what he is is so various that it's impossible to classify him as Olympian. For some he was borne from Chaos itself before the known universe. For others he can never be found or seen because he's everywhere yet nowhere, in our hearts. He's also believed to have made it possible for immortals to exist, and has been the child of Nyx, or Chronos, or Ilithyia, or Zephyrus and Iris. And then he's just some guy with love arrows that makes an appearance in some stories, does his thing, and that's it. Not to mention there are other variations, but in most he's not even close to being an Olympian except as one of Aphrodite's children. See what I mean? ^_^;
