Statistics!

Let's say that you want to make your ideal character. Beneath the appearance of your character are the fundamental characteristics that give the body of your character life. However, you can only make your character as ideal as you can under the distribution limits: each characteristic can hold ten points, but there's only enough points to fill all of the characterics with five points if distributed evenly. So for every point used for one characteristic, that makes one less point to fill another. And if you can't max out all of your character's statistics, which of the characteristics would you favor the most?

As for myself, I would max out luck and lean on it for ensuring better results in other areas. It would make dodging and accuracy more sucessful, as well as choosing the right thing to do out of the choices that I make. It won't allow me the chance to pick up a large boulder, survive poison without an antidote or know an answer to something I have no clue about (if there's no choice of answers to choose from), but it would help support the kind of role that I would like my character to have.

(Woo... This poll was fun to make. X_X)

I prioritse agility/speed. A high-speed character in most games will not only dodge more often, but they will also get more frequent turns. Just seems to be the best choice for me under most conditions.

Speed as well, speed kills strength. But then again strength can take speed out quicker. But its always best to dodge somthing then take a hit.

Just for the heck of it, I would have stamina/recovery. When you can outlast your opponent till he's exausted, it won't be an issue how strong you are. The recovery would help his stamina even more, allowing him to heal himself while still fighting.

Intelligence has been my best trait for a while, and I'm not going to change it now.

I woud also want above-average scores in intuition and luck.

Definitely Agility.
The standard for my characters would be Agility, Skill, Luck, with slighty below average evewrything else.
Mostly because thieves are teh awesome. FTW.

You like rogue characters? Me, too! We've got something in common in real life, it looks like. ;) I'm big on intelligence, I have to say. Agility and stamina would be good ones to boost too, though.

A balance between strengh and inteligence.

A spellcaster with tons of life who can also heal himself is one hell to defeat.

I'm more for a balance between strength and stamina. Yep, I like tanks. Heavy hitters with tons of health are my bag of chips....

Charisma: my choice.
Why do the work when others
will do it for you?

Yeah, definitely good to know, given what's happening in a certain rpg just now. ;) I'd say intelligence and agility make a really good combination. You can think on your feet and move fast enough to do what you just thought of.

The few times that I tried to play a pen and paper RPG, I went rogue as well.

Oh, and other than luck, I would have above average in intelligence (for magic and stuff!), agility, reflexes and stamina. Mid stuff for intuition and awareness, a little for skill and charisma, and zilch for strength, immunity, faith and recovery.

A good set-up for a rogue faery, ne? ^o^

Well I've already answered this but in order of importance.

1. Intelligence because while other things may open up a solution to a problem intelligence can find it's own solution.

2. Intuition because sometimes you can't have all the facts and together with intelligence intuition can generally put together a solution even with only the most basic idea of what's needed.

3. Awareness because it's hard to find a solution for something without knowing there's a problem.

4. Luck because some things you can't affect and it's hard to find a solution if there is no solution in the first place to find.

(Now if we're talking D&D...I like skill monkeys so rogue is my favorite class...I usually put the maximum in Int and then some points in Dex so I can use a bow well...After all why get close when a poisoned arrow will work?)
