Well, looks like I won't finish coloring Aeris tonight. =I This new technique is pretty time consuming, and I'm still learning the ropes of painting with CGIllust. Here's what I have so far! Hopefully I'll finish it tomorrow. => Yay for CG!

More progress!

Good stuff, but I don't like being a "Me too" poster.

I'll find an original way to say you rock.

... it worked in Blazing Saddles.

Oops. Roadblock hit, and just when so much progress had been made on the Aeris image. => Due to how I drew in the hair (and mythical anatomy), the image may have to be without wings. =( I'd rather not sacrifice that sweep of knee-length hair, so... else I drop the wings (I'm oblivious! I should have noticed earlier), or I put in some "figurative" wings. Not quite birdlike angel wings, but something. Mreh.

Even more progress!

I'm glad people like it so far though! => Hopefully I'll finish it. It's taking MUCH longer than I expected, but it's great practice. And for those who know CGIllust (or Open Canvas), the playback is fun to watch. Except when I turn on the black layer to pick out leftover colors. Then it's like watching Battling Seizure Robots. =X

*Gasps.*

Wow... That is just absolutely incredible Geckojira!! :D You've captured the look of me perfectly!! ^_^

(As for the wings, do whatever it is you feel is best. I'll still appreciate your hard work. You're just doing such a great job!! :) )

Multipass!

Postby Geckojira » Thu Sep 02, 2004 11:51 pm

Finally! After two days, I managed to finish the Aeris image. The wings aren't quite what I was hoping for (I'm not very good at doing special effects with Photoshop yet), but I'm happy with the overall image. => The background is a digi-cam pic of the awesome graveyard in Zack's town. The image has been shrunken down to 800x600 (it was originally 1000x800), so if anyone is still using that tiny wallpaper size, it doubles as a wallpaper!

Mmmn. Now, I have a hankering to draw someone else. But who...? We'll see! But first, I need a new sketchbook. =X And pens. *mutters*

Aeris completed!

Oooh. And Always Tomorrow updates tonight at midnight, PST. =D The art style shifts a bit for the third strip. =>

Ooooh!!! I love it Gecko!! Love it, love it, loooooooooove it!!

*Huggles Geckojira.*

You're the bestest Geckojira!! :D (Horray for butchering the English language. Not really though. :P)

P.S.: I have a few ideas for something you could do in the future Geckojira, so if you run out of stuff to draw (unlikely with your skill and all the great people here at MSF) I have something you could do. I'll PM or AIM you about it eventually. ^_^

My back! My back!

Postby Geckojira » Wed Oct 13, 2004 6:16 am

Oogh. It's been a while since I've posted or drawn anything MSF related. Been busy busy with various art projects, web comic, RL, art porftolio, etc. Yet, I managed to shave up enough time to do a bit of Highschool Changed Me fanart!

Oooh. Gender-changed Staff Member!

For the curious, my art style has been shifting recently the more I draw. Hop over to my Deviant Art Gallery if you'd like a peek at some of the artwork that's been keeping me busy these past weeks. ^^ Mind you, it's mainly the 'finished' works, and my sketchbook has a good number of pages filled.

Oh. And um. To the MSFer that I'm doing something for. I swear, I'll get around to finishing it. ^_^; I tend to go through periods of doing inkworks, then CG stuff, and right now, I'm working on a new series inspired by the Internet Cafe that I've begun to frequent. Yeek!
