Good to meet a fellow adopter of that method! I learned it from the college roommate I mooched the program from in the first place. ;) Gives it a very animation-y feel, doesn't it? You can see a few examples of my art a few posts down, by the way.... Oh, and the symbol-stone came out looking very nice indeed. I like the style you're using now. Simple and classy.

I used to have it in mind to do the sketch > ink > scan > photoshop thing... but I have a few problems... first I don't own a scanner....

second... I really have trouble creating line art that is suitable to photoshop... I see thinks more in terms of planes of color and form rather than lines, so when I have a color pallette and the ability to work from dark to light it is less stressful for me than sketching. If I ever do get a scanner I will try at it but I think with a template I could probably do all my art purely in a digital realm...

See, that's odd, because I have much more difficulty working with pure digital. I find it a lot easier to do the line art by hand. But then, I've been drawing for almost as long as I could hold an instrument in my hand (I phrase it that way because it started as crayons and only a little later segued into pencils and other equipment). So I'm used to doing it that way. Maybe it's just me being set in certain patterns with age. ;) And I actually went and got a scanner after I was introduced to this method! I liked it too much to lose it once the roommate and I weren't rooming together anymore. We're still in touch, but we only lived together one year, and I didn't want to lose the capacity to do it this way.

You're way too good at Photoshop. Then again, my dexterity with a mouse is laughable, so I can't really compete.

It'll get better with practice. Most things do. Maybe slowly, but it will.

You think that was hard with just a mouse? Imagine useing Art Pad to make a full colored scene... http://artpad.art.com/gallery/?ivp8d0z81ug I must say... Drawing that was the most frustrating 90 minutes of my life >.> (I did that back in February when I was still addicted to Rose Online and I'll never use that medium again X_x)

But... Besides carpel tunnel complaints, you do have really awesome art. I wish I had the motivation to learn photoshop better XD
