An inconclusive little diddy I wrote cause I was bored

Never a stranger day had the monks and priest at the tiny Temple of our Fair Lady of Change seen than the day when Clarence O’ Clay showed up at their meager doorstep. All over the land, Clarence’s tale had been told. It was said that his blade had taken many an innocent soul, and more than a few of his companions in his quest for victory, so it’s safe Father Ethan was a bit taken back when he answered the door.

“M-my son, w-what can we help you with.â€

Very nice story. Personally, I like the fact that it was left hanging. Gives a good feeling of suspense.

How far?

I'd have included more about the change itself. Well, not so much of the physical change as of something going on in there, rather than having it just happen. Also, he/she seems awfully eloquent for a barbarian. Further, no particular reason is given for this change of heart.

That's why it's only the beggining of a story, it's inconclusive. I just had an idea and knew I had to write it down.

Yeah. That was me. And I do appreciate the constructive criticism.
