Magical Sailor Fuku

I've been flitting around the MSF IRC channel for a few weeks, and have decided to join up on the forum. So, without further ado, I present my first TG pic evah!



If you couldn't guess, it's Sora, from Kingdom Hearts. C+C is appreciated.

First and foremost, welcome to Magical Sailor Fuku! :D

The sheer fact that your first post was in the Art Room shows that you are an individual of great wisdom, for the Art Room is the most wonderful of all rooms. I, Goose, hope you spend many a day having a gander (get it??) at all of our wonderful artist's images, as well as sharing your works with us so that noobies of the future may look to you as a shining example of what it means to be a terrific contributor of imagery to our humble community.

Onto your viewtiful image that you have graced us with... You clearly draw/sketch a lot of faces and stuff, probably in a notebook while being bored in class (I do the same thing), and it creates a gap in your ability to illustrate faces, which looks solid, and your ability to accurately represent the human figure, which needs work. Now, this isn't a bad thing. The human figure is widely accepted as the most difficult thing to illustrate (my vote goes to foliage though... I hate the stuff. Sure smells nice though), so being fairly fluent in one aspect of it (so far as the Japanese animation style goes that is) is always a plus. I recommend as you're doodling all those pretty faces into your notebook as you sit bored in Geology class, instead of drawing pretty faces, draw a foot. A hand. A torso. Sure it will look silly, but it'll help eventually. For real.

Overall, nice job. Hope to see you around these parts more often.

Thanks for the critique. Actually, I felt like the face was the weak point of the drawing...Though I know my hands do need work. Next, I'm likely going to work on coloring this...Ideas for another drawing are also appreciated.

Actually every creature is equally hard to draw, it is just that the human figure is the one we are most familiar with and thus the one we are most able to see flaws in portrayals of. No matter what then it is a nice picture.

Well, after a long and painful process, it is colored!



This was my first time coloring something in Photoshop...I ad-libbed it as I went, not sure if it shows it or not...

Female Megaman X, for anybody who doesn't know.

A little caption to go along with it: "Upon discovering a new strain of the Sigma virus with metamorphic qualities, Sigma was delighted to have a chance to once more torment his arch-enemy, X. So, following a botched raid on a Maverick base, Sigma infected the captive X with the virus. From that point on, X was no more. Xia, however, loves her new master very much...

Although that 'new master' bit might be overdoing it just a tad. ;D

Not supposed to be lewd...Mavericks refer to Sigma as their master, I believe...

that would be the greatest storyline EVER.

Because it would get rid of X, nobody likes X. X is a freaking hippy.

Just a doodle I made during Spanish...I kind of like how it turned out. Influenced by late night sessions of Unreal Tournament 2004.
