This is sorta inspired by William Faulker's steam-of-consciousness work. Enjoy

Just a wee bit creepy @_@

Then again, that probably means you were doing your job with that ^^

Thank you ^_^ Creepy was my intent. And confusing like a mind all scrambled.

That is indeed very creepy. It actually reminded me a lot of James Joyce's stream-of-consciousness work. You did quite well with this. That's a hard style to work in.

I was gonna overdo it with mispellings but I just kept the one.

Basically read this as though the character has been touched by an Ovalisk before the opening line. The first line is a memory. Italics are memories of actions and things said that act as a trigger for further memories. The story takes place in an immeasurable moment when Aiden's humanity is erased and rewritten by an Ovalisk.

This is a good way to rate my IQ, and it must be below ten. I read it four times, but neither time was my brain able to grasp it. How pathetic. ~_~ *Goes back to learning the alphabet*

You're not pathetic. I didn't grasp that intent either, and I not only count myself an intelligent person, but heck, I majored in English! The major of reading things and analyzing them to find their intent and deeper meaning! Though in my case, it's probably because I still don't know too much about this breed, despite hanging out on this forum for a year and a half.

When I get done with homework I promise to put up an annotated version.

Annotations? Ooo, I haven't done those since college! It'll be a bit of a nostalgia trip, there. And helpful, too, of course.

Must...see...annotated version. And now I'm tempted to either post my Aeteranale Portion of my fanfic early, or write it early...or have a cliff notes/special scenes version.

Ovalisks are interesting. For information, there is this site: http://www.aeternalae.com/wiki/Ovalisk

I'm gonna take a sorta positive thing on them on my site...they're treated as 'rebirth' mainly. I need to point out immediate fear, but I think I do that by having everybody scared out of their ever-loving minds of using them, and that they are mainly kept as a last resort, like walking nukes...

I'm gonna use numbers so it doesn't break up the flow too much

Interesting...I wonder if the being that is him will return, since Ovalisks, according to the encyclopedia, do in fact mature into Aeternalae, and regain memories...
