A dang interesting story. It's hard to keep to all the reality shifts, but it works for the theme. I like it. Comparisons to Dancin' in the style of change come to mind, but with more a sense of overcoming it, then the fact that it is not overcome/accepted in Dancin'.

I had that in mind when I commented on Dancin'. If I go for a complete reality alteration like that, most typically there will be a come back.
I also hate it when the bad guys win... ;D
