For me it depends on how I feel and it comes with periods. I draw and then I draw a lot. Then I will come to a period where I could draw something but it would feel empty and not needed then. When I feel I need to draw then the drawing feels right and feels like it should have been done.
But I do practice my hand a lot by just drawing simple shapes to keep my wrist loose. That is one thing I learned. If you wrist isn't loosen enough then the brain will see the things needed to be done but the hand won't be able to go along with the energy and the flow of the brain and the drawing won't be as you want it to be.
