[Xia]

* In the darkness, an almost imperceptable movement comes at Chuusa from the left, the only reason it is barely visible is that the object is a little darker than the surrounding, a punch coming for his face... *

* Kajika's shuriken's spark as they bounce off the wall...and nothing else, the room empty, the previous taken candle back on its holder, once again bathing the room in a dim flickering light, the two girls very much alone *

[Musashi]

"I... guess we scared it off?" Kajika stood back up, dusting herself off a bit with a free hand. With the other, she had pulled out another kunai in case the thing came back again.

"I suppose we shouldn't touch that candle again. Want to try a door?"

[LazyFrost]

"Sure, why not?"

Using her staff to give her leverage, Misato crawled to her feet.

[Goose]

Chuusa was again counting on the sound of the kunai, either being caught or clanging against a wall, indicating that his target had moved. Without a single audible cue, he takes one to the chin. He feels the steel of the glove punching him against his face, as he goes skidding on the ground a bit before hitting a wall. He's out instantly.

[Xia]

"well shit...I overestimated this one"

* shaking her head in a grimace, Mai wraps an exploding note around a kunai and idly flings out the corridor into the main hall, where on contact with the wall, it explodes, dispelling the illusion, and most certainly alerting the girls. With that she promptly vanishes into the dark *

The girls hear the explosion...duh. the wall is scorched across from the doorway, obviously the result of a thrown kunai with an exploding note on it. the Kunai, is...Chuusa's.

[Musashi]

Kajika was about to choose a door... but then there was a KABOOM. o_O

She put a hand over her mouth and let out a *meep*, then quickly attempted to compose herself. Then Kajika carefully crept over to the scorched wall, and examined the kunai. It was a kunai of Chuusa-ness! o__o

"Well. This is Chuusa's. So I guess that's the door we'll go through." And off she headed for door #2.

[Misato]

The girl glanced at Kajika. "Not saying that it's a bad idea or anything, but does it not strike you as a bit odd that someone whom we haven't seen, or alternately, someone who just attacked us, would throw an exploding kunai at us to show us the RIGHT path?"

[Musashi]

"It's not necessarily /the/ right path... but it might lead to Chuusa. You wouldn't want to just leave him there if something happened to him, would you? I mean, supposedly we're a team. We should act like one, at least a little bit."

But I could do so much better on my own... eh.

[Xia]

"in missions, you two won't have the liberty of such idle chatter...hmmmm"

not spoken where the two girls could hear

* Mai begins a series of hand seals at a rapid pace... *

[Princess Shiko]

Misato shook her head. "Fine. Let's go. If 'twere done, 'twere best done quickly." She cocked her head ever so slightly, as if catching the tiniest touch of Mai's voice. "I could have sworn I just heard..." She turned to the door and opened it.. "Let's go."

[Musashi]

Kajika paused, listening, then shrugged and followed Misato through the door.

[Xia]

*from behind the 2 girls a wave of darkness approaches at an alarming rate...*

[Princess Shiko]

Misato turned to Kajika.
"Uh.. so now what do we do?"

[Musashi]

"..I think maybe we should turn around. I have this odd feeling that something is approaching at an alarming rate behind us." And so, Kajika turned around! :O

[Xia]

* And lo, a wave of darkness is approaching them. It is so black that they cant see into it, everything it touches seems to completely dissappear into the inky darkness *
