What is the Fex? The Fex is a bio construct, purely melee in its nature. Standing 18 foot tall on tough, chitinous hooves with four arms, two of which end as scythe like blades and two of which end up as crushing, crablike claws this is something as an understatement. This is before we account for the horned head with the rows of razor sharp teeth, the long tail with a scythe like protrusion or the jagged chitinous spikes that run down its carapace.

Yet as hostile and aggressive as it appears there is another side to its nature...a gentle, almost 'dumb' side that is fiercely protective and loyal to those it considers its allies, property or pets.

The most notable aspect of the Fex is its mutability. It is an adapting creature capable of spontaneous mutation and regeneration to overcome situations as and when it encounters them. The regeneration and mutation process is slow however, taking a fair bit of time. Thus it is possible to kill the beast and have it return at a later date, from 2 hours to 2 months as its system shuts down and repairs.

Flux in his human form is the atypical adolescent male. Short brown hair, slender build, pale skin, the only thing that marks him out as being different is that his eyes are entirely blue.

Flux's hybrid form is a result of the genetic modification. Grown as a hybrid human with extracts of the Carnifex's DNA Flux was intended to serve the Japanese government as an elite assassin of sorts, yet broke free due to the underestimation of his abilities. He possesses a minor form of regeneration giving him quick healing and greater endurance than most and also the ability to shift to a hybrid form, in which his bones grow out into a bony carapace and the mutable properties of the Carnifex allow him to 'grow' bone weapons as and when he needs them....
