Major negatory on my part for the prospect of having to deal with demons.

I'm happy being human, and if a better deal comes my way, I'll be sure to take that up, rather than cutting a deal with the "devil."

I don't see the demon aspect as necessarily a negative. Basically, "demon" is a name. What really matters is what you do and how you do it. Based on what's been posted so far I don't think it would be impossible to be an ethical demon.

I voted "tempted," but basically, I don't see much wrong with it. The reason it's not a "Yes" is because I might be missing something... The devil's in the details.

In demon contracts there are always loopholes... they are natural tricksters, probably you would end up loosing what makes yourself you.

Not that I have talked to a demon and have sold my soul for imortallity and power...

see, those are the kinda deals that if you take one day your hangin from the empire state building sayin how she owns you..

I think it's more like you'd occassionally wind up being a test subject for one of Mara's backfiring plots.

While that may be true, sometimes Mara comes close to succeeding.. and plus.. being a henchman has horrible benifits.

Actually, I don't think it likely that Mara would nab you for a henchy job. Particularly because she's a class one demon and any of us that become demons would likely start at class 3 and be a rookie for a while. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, demons probably have the same kind of license as the gods/godessess where you need a license requirement or some technical permission to enter Midgard (human world). Or something like that. *Shrugs* I mean, we have three goddesses around all of the time and one that has come and gone a few times, while on the other hand we have mainly Mara with some Senbei, a brief period for Vespar (was that his name?) and a brief visit by Hild. So it doesn't really seem like the demons are really focused on sending the goddesses away or even being in Midgard (for wishes or otherwise). Or else we would see three demons against three goddesses at the very least. But there's only Mara with her drag-along Senbei.

And if you're the scheming kind, get noticed by the "Almighty" for good deeds and even Hild's contract will not stand against his will if he thinks that you would be better as a turncoat. ;p

It's a little bit of both. Before the soujinki episode, Hild asks here how she is doing with her duty. They do wish to remove the goddesses from the world, which is why Hild asks Belldandy to give her Keiichi.

I was very tempted to say yes and became more so as i read what all have said. However i stuck with being tempted for the same reasons as Sophia. I would want to know the details before i made a final decission on something as major as this.

Not about the series. About the deal, it is mostly that i tend to make major decissions very careful. All things point to yes though.

Well, if Hild is making the deal, you'll be alright so long as you humor her. Then she'll probably drop you like a hot potato and leave you to her own devices. Don't worry, she would deliver on her contract. However, I would be cautious about what you wish for until you know when you'll become a demon. Hild will probably like you more for being so insightful. Which is good unless you don't like her compamy (which Urd doesn't for personal reasons XD).

I deviate from the target of this offer in several ways, I'm guessing, the least of which being that I'm entirely apathetic about my gender.

There are at least two moral issues of mine which directly conflict with any part of this deal, but it seems they apply more to me as a person rather than the majority, so y'know.
