Guen's Brand-Sparkling New Art Thread!

I've just belatedly realized that I have a couple more images I can show you. More cat people! They, like the second post I did here, resulted from an art contest. This one came out of a site called Seventh Sanctum, a place full of generators of all sorts. They've started having art contests based around the results from those. Well, a while back they did a "beauty" contest, basically trying to do good-looking people from various generator options. You could enter two designs. I did a catboy and a catgirl. Below you will find a link to the page I made on my web site for them, with the descriptions the generators originally came up with written underneath.

I was overally quite pleased with the results of these (the catboy got a particularly positive reception from people I showed these to at the time), though I didn't get so much as an honorable mention in the contest. Hmm, got a couple other catboy characters I designed a while back.... Maybe I should share them sometime. **wanders off**

Okay, the last post I made wasn't exactly a rip-roaring success, but I decided to throw caution to the winds and make another one. This too is a post relating to an event in roleplaying here. As at least some of you know, I've been somewhat prolific in regards to acquiring rpg boyfriends recently. Well, again inspired by the "Couples" art book I got for my birthday, I did a picture of the first kiss shared with the one I've acquired in "Girl In the Field," played by OwS. Here it is:

As you see if you read, it's rather more innocent than the arrangement suggests; they fell down, and well, just sort of stayed there.... It's not perfect- I'm still a little awkward in the positioning of the heads, and I think I probably could have done better with the shading in at least some places- but I'm overall pretty pleased with how this one came out. I'm getting better at these!

Thank you! I'm not sure when I'll get around to doing more. But I'm glad at least one person liked it, at any rate. I just hope the other person involved in the image does, too!

I love it! I think it suits the time nicely, and you hit exactly what I wanted you to! I'm very pleased with your drawing! A little darker, some shading could be, but, who am I to judge?

Ah, yours was the reaction I was waiting for the most! I'm so glad you approve. Yeah, I'm still working on improving my shading as a whole. I'm glad I decided to link to this elsewhere, however, so you didn't miss it! So good to know our visions of the moment ran in tangent together. I might try drawing some more of these two at a later date, depending on what sort of ideas I get.

Not to be a downer or anything, but 'erroneous misapprehension' is redundant. A misapprehension is in error by definition.

The art is good though! I can't draw and can't offer any constructive criticism for that, so take from this what you will.
