That's looks good. I should refine my photoshop techniques but ehh I like 3ds max better for some backgrounds and effects.

I am currently building upon the brush stuff I already know, now adding layers and a few other tools to my repitoire...

this is a 5% complete sneak peak at my next project, which is going to be a wall... covered in ivy... with a portion of a window in the upper right corner...

atm it's just the brick layer and it is taking forever to texture as you can see... the sad part is 80% of the brick will be covered up when it's done :p

it will prolly have ~30 layers 1 for background, 1 for brick + mortar, 2-4 for the window, 1 for the vines, ??? for the leaves, maybe even one per leaf

Okay tablet quesion...

you all seem to like wacom... what size would I want?

My mother might buy me one, a scanner, and software if I do the graphic art and other digital stuff for the running camp she runs with her husband... and so I need to present her with a proposal of cost... I'd be buying from tiger direct as their prices are cheapest any way and they have outlets in my area.

Also... something I never quite got about templates... do they... display the picture on them or not? I'm confuzzled as I've never seen one in action... but have seen some images of web artists working on ones with the image directly displayed on them...

Wacom board size? well I have a smaller one probably the smallest if I remeber. The thing about a wacom board is even thought it may be bigger it still the same size as your screen if I am explaining this right. I like smallers one since I find it easier to draw with I am not having to stretch across the board to get to a specific area on the screen. But eh its up to the person really aslo the large the board the more expensive.

P.S why arnt you posting in the Speed paint topic! I demand more people to use it...............please? xD

Sure I'll get on it. ^^

I have an 10x8 one. I really don't think that size matters to much. I would say that you might not want one that is to big. That's all
Some stuff happen, and there was cow bell! And all was good.

Ive used bigger ones at my classes..I don't notice to much differents if any for detail. -Shrug- you could always start small and if that isn't good enough upgrade later I dunno do what you feel you need to do! roar!

okay got my wacom 6x8 tablet in about 12 hours since I ordered it... (the tigerdirect warehouse is nearby) and it is spiffy... havent plugged it in yet cause I gotta rearrange my desk (my leviathan tube monitor takes up so much space)

Now I realize I have 5 input devices on my computer... my main mouse (with laser, cordless, 10 programmable buttons) My keyboard (with blue backlight) My macro pad (with 11 programmable buttons) My tablet and stylus and my tablet's left-hand mouse...

If only they had a game that could allow me to play with my hands and feet at once ^_^

Nice. I really like the misty effect with the sky. I assume this is some sort of post-apocalyptic (or at least post-nuclear attack) world? That's what it says to me, anyway.

there are clearly kyoote birdies and trees and cars and people laughing and playing in the street and a little hermit smoking a pipe and an elaborate fountain at a park and such...

**laughs** Sorry, it looked dark and gloomy to me, for some reason.... I guess it was the colors of the sky. They're sort of like the ones you see in images of area after a the bomb has been dropped or whatever. Guess it colored my perspective. Think I'd better take a second look at that, now....

actually it is pretty much exactly what the sky looked like tonight at about 8:45pm as I was on my daily walk later than usual as it was an astounding 109degrees+ heat index today
