Team Sigma - 1 year interlude : Arc 1.3 : Suspended

*After a short chase the 3 gennin arrived at a spot, where the jonnin sensei was standing, the traces of the tracks having disappeared, the area having obviously been swept clean, even the area had been scoured with a lasting fragrace of flowers.*


"I wonder, can any of you tell me what's wrong, well besides the obvious" in a testing manner, his tone however was serious this time.

[this was a somewhat unexpected turn of events, ah well at least it makes things interesting]

[Teddy]

Deyua looked around the clearing. "Hm.. The smell is off and the tracks have been swepped, but that's not what you wanted, was it sensei?" He sat back and shrugged. "Ordinary bandits wouldn't think to do this, especially with the covering of the scent. Are they other shinobi?"

[Shadowmaster]

Ankoku lands next to his teammate. "if they are shinobi, what are they up to? And why?"

[Pegasus Knight Florina]

"They're setting something up," Yumi said simply. "They know somebody is going to come after them, thinking that they are tracking nothing worse than common thieves. These are shinobi, alright, and they're out for something important..."

*Shakes his head* "I guess you can be excused from knowing since none of you have really had much experiance with the stench death has*

*walking over to a portion of the ground that had be obviously swept, he stuck it dust flying up into the air, as the dust cleared... the mangled corpses of 2 people could be seen*

"sometimes the most obvious answers cover deeper truths, the flagrance was overkill and would naturally only be used to cover something of greater stench, had it been a simple swepping there wouldn't have been marks from earthworms along the top of the soil"

"Either way you all fail, so yumi examine the corpse's quickly, Amkoku Deyua hurry up and dig them out"

Ankoku moves over to where the corpses are buried. "So, do you think the thieves are behind this?" Ankoku begins to dig one out.

[Teddy]

"Or.. They are the thieves. That's a scary possibility." Deyua begins helping Ankoku dig up the corpses, looking at their wounds.

[Pegasus Knight Florina]

"This is crazy..." Yumi looked at the bodies, shaking her head in dismay. "Whoever these people are, they were killed over these religious artifacts. That's what's weird... It's just a bunch of jewels and old staffs and stuff, right? Or is it something else..." She frowned as a thought crossed her mind. "Sensei, is it possible that these religious artifacts were actually weapons? Weapons that took chakra to operate and use..."

*Yawns*

"Items like that are tested it's standard procedure, don't worry about it honor amoung theives doesn't exist so it's no real surprise this happened, there were 5 originally most likely a dispute between the group seeing how there are only 2 corpses here now."

*looks at the corpses a bit, there clothing designs were obvious foreign though they were of medium quality, one had his head caved in while the other chest had been compacted, a distinct smell on there corpses, standing up he looks around before thinking for a second*

"Western port, move out"

[Teddy]

"You're the boss sensei..." And thus, Deyua followed after his teacher, hoping they could still finish this mission quickly.

[Shadowmaster]

"Okay, this is getting interesting." Ankoku said.

[Pegasus Knight Florina]

"Yeah, no kidding," Yumi sighed, dashing off after the two... Again. "One thing leads to another... I wonder if we're even making progress."

As the group arrived at the western port, Kyo weaved through the buildings before arriving at a place of high repute depending on what type of things you were looking for, before being greeted by one of the local ladies/hostesses who looked at the gennin with not to much interest.
"Yo, Kyo... babysitting agian, and here i was hoping you would pick me for tonight"

Kyo obviously was interested but decided today wasn't ideal "Sorry Mia, work and such, before adding in a whisper 'may be later tonight'", "you know if Karin is in? got something to ask her."

Mia answered "In the back baby like normal, though the kids will stay out here, we have some regulations about age."

Kyo kissed her on the cheek before heading in waving his hand behind his back to the gennin "you kiddies be good for a few mins, i'll try not to take to long."

[Pegasus Knight Florina]

Yumi shook her head angrily, taking a seat on a nearby bench. "I'm getting really tired of this... Honestly, he's more immature than we are! One more mishap on his part, and I'm going to tell the Raikage... A jonin shouldn't behave like an academy mischief maker!"

[Teddy]

Deyua sat on the back of the bench, next to Yumi, shrugging. "And what good would it do? It's annoying, yes, but it doesn't have TOO much effect on our missions. I mean, we do make some side-trips and... Yeah. Nevermind. He's great in a fight though, so he's a great guardian. But if he's in there, doing what I think he's doing, we might as well try and play a dice game or something. He's gonna be a while."
