Ankoku just sat down. "I just want to find out whats going on here." he said.

"'Gonna be a while' is putting it lightly," She sighed. "Hey, I'm down with a dice game, but doing some training isn't a bad idea, either. We don't know what we're up against, and we don't want to get caught off-guard."

*unfortunately or fortunately Kyo was done rather fast and not in that way... the major distinction was that kyo smelled like a strange fragrance now more clear and had a tropical fruit scent.. remansient of that of one of the corpses... that and he had a hicky on his neck along with some lipstick smears*


*After drop kicking the gennin in a quick succession just for kicks... pun not intended.. kyo yawned a bit, before then heading towards the harbor not giving the gennin time to really recollect themselves*


"sigh... what a pain... didn't expect we would have to go sailing today.... should have brought my swim trunks..." walking towards the port without facing the gennin kyo asked "You guys really shouldn't speak so loud sometimes, i swear if your gonna talk behind my back at least do that right."

"With all due respect, Kyo-Sensei, we have a reason to talk behind your back... As you can see, there are repruccusions to saying the wrong thing in front of you..." She sighed, rubbing her aching head in dismay. "Really, Kyo-Sensei, you need to control yourself."

Ankoku got up after the painful kick. "Why are we going sailing?" he asked as he rubbed his head.

[Teddy]

"You're kinda saying the wrong thing in front of him again Yumi... And I don't want another beat-up today." He ran up to his sensei, curious. "Teacher... I have 2 questions. One, why are we going sailing? And two, why do you smell like one of those corpses we found?"

Kyo continued walking talking the time to actually answer "sigh.... sometimes you guys disappoint me.... the symbol on the cloths of the corpses was the family symbol for a merchant families that specializes in overland trade routes, meaning that there parthners who killed them most likely wouldn't be able to travel over those routes after such a betrayl. the perfume is Karin's speacility, no one really knows how she gets that smell but she's the only person that can recreate it meaning that they had visited her within the past day before the event.... if you can't figure it out from there you guys are irredeemable..."

*arriving at the local port authority Kyo entered, greeting the desk worker*

"Yo Takachi i need the schedule for all the ships that have left the area within the past 48 hours."

*after some paper work Kyo recieved the reports for the vessels schedules for the last few days

"Have you 3 figured out what type of vessel were looking for yet?"

"Is it a trading ship?" Ankoku asked.

[Teddy]

"I'm with Ankoku on this one. A merchant ship, or a civilian ship would be the most obvious choices."

Yumi nodded. "Yes, it would provide the perfect disguise. It does seem like the most logical choice..."

"That's correct a trade vessel would be the ideal option, though that wouldn't narrow down the list a whole lot, They are most likely trying for the least bit of suspicion so the larger the better, that and since we have already discounted the land routes that means that there heading most likely isn't within any normally walked able distance. Meaning that they are headed to most likely to a foreign or non-affiliated nation that’s not travelable via land routes, though if it's foreign it would be a bad idea to enter one which is our ally so that would discount the largest mainly Water country territory."

"Given all those factors that only leaves us with 2 ships left one heading towards the hidden rain and the other heading toward the hidden tide, however due to time constraints there's no way they could have made it to the rain ship given it's departure time, considering how fresh the corpses were... that only leaves the ship heading toward the tide, that headed south early this morning."

Kyo in a good mood turned to his friend "Takachi, get me the sling shot boat ready!!!!" which incurred a great deal of gasp and pity looks at the kids at the mention of that vessel...

Takachi could only shake his head before looking at the gennins "Kids I hope you haven't eaten much recently" with those words of pity said the man delegate some orders to get the ship ready in the back room, before coming back out. "It's getting prepped in the usual spot... though are you sure they can handle sailing with you.... "

Kyo shrugged it off "don't look at me like that... no one has ever actually died from just sailing with me... just almost... a few times... " Takachi's stare wasn't reassuring as he continued for kyo to continue which he eventually did ... "well except that one time... well 2 times... or was it 3... But there deaths weren't my fault...., but hey it works... and there my gennin so don't worry about it." with that he laughed it off and exited the building.

[Shadowmaster]

"Whats a sling shot boat? And who died? And how? And...well, I guess thats all of my questions. This is a long mission." Ankoku said, a little depressed.

[Teddy]

"Oh.. No." Deyua had a bit of an idea of what this could involve. "Slingshot boat? Why does that conjure mental images of horrible pain and suffering? Or is that just me?"

Yumi thought for a moment, but she couldn't come up with any earthly idea of what a slingshot boat was. She had never even been out on a boat before... Indeed, the concept actually frightened her a bit. However, she would never admit that, so she simply nodded.
