The Coffee House.

A cat-eared figure sat in a little coffee house, located within the suburbs of town, in a little house near a popular high school, and quietly sipped her tea. Despite the stereotype, it was not actually catnip. (Catnip stones her out of her little kitty mind...)

She smiled at the man behind the counter, who was shining a cup. "So, Bob...anything going on?"

The man behind the counter shook his head, and continued shining the cup.

The catgirl, also known as Neko Nekomimi, or Kitty for short, munched on her muffin. "This place could really use some more customers."

Bob nodded, and put the cup up. He then pulled out another cup, and started shining it.

Kitty continued her train of thought. "I mean, a store has to have customers to remain in business."

Bob nodded once again, and just kept shining. He switched towels, however.

"Plus, I mean...you're giving me room and board, and now you're paying me to sit down and eat a muffin!" She finished her muffin, and twirled around in her cute skirt and apron, advertising to everyone that she was a waitress, and nothing is wrong with that!

[Teddy]

Gennosuke walked into the coffee house. He had some money to blow, and he wasn't old enough to drink... This would be the next best thing. "Hello? What do you serve in here?"

Bob points to the menu, while Neko pops up behind him. "Oh...let's see. We have Coffee and Cream, Coffee without Cream, Cream without Coffee, Mocha, Java, Java Mocha, Mocha Java, Java Mocha Java, Mocha Java Mocha, Java Mocha Java Mocha, Frappacino, Iced Frappachino, and Catnip Tea, but that's just for me, and I'm not allowed to have tha..." Her voice, which had been growing softer, fades out, and her mouth continues moving, while her face seems to grow slightly pale.

Bob, standing in front of Gennosuke, motions with his arms as if wafting something in. Neko gets the hint, and remembers to breathe again.

[Teddy]

Gennosuke sweatdropped, then cleared his throat, trying not to laugh. "Just my luck to wander into THIS city. Anyway, I'll take a... Plain ol' regular coffee. No sugar, no cream, I'd like it black." Genno nodded and took a seat.

Bob nods, turns around, fixes the coffee straight from the machine, and hands it to Neko, who then hands it to Gennosuke.

Neko smiles when Gennosuke takes it. "I have officially performed my duties as a waitress...with 100% accuracy!"

[Teddy]

Genno scooted the chair ever so stealthily away from the girl. "Teh! Where are my manners? I'm Gennosuke Takarendo, newly arrived citizen of this... City. And you and the man are?"

Neko bows. "I am Neko Nekomimi, but you can call me Kitty. I'm only thwee years old! And this is Bob, he runs this place. I'm the waitress, and it's a lot of fun."

[Teddy]

Genno made a slight bow back. "I.. See. This seems to be a nice little place." The young man took a sip of the coffee. "With some great coffee. Why don't you have a bigger following of customers?"

Neko shrugs. "Advertising...The place changed owners recently. The last owner made crummy coffee. He went on a holiday trip to some town in California, Spoonyville or something, got turned into a vampire, attempted to summon a demon to destroy mankind, and was valiently stopped by a small group of teenage heroes wearing designer clothing. Since vampires are dead, the place went up for auction, and Bob bought it, improved the coffee, and we just need to get the word out. Still, whatever happened to that old owner..."

Bob, meanwhile, pulls out a packet marked "Medicinal blood", and puts it near a floorboard. The floorboard rises, and a pale, white hand slinks over it. It grasps the blood with long clawlike nails, and reveals for a brief moment, a chain attached to its thin wrist. A hissing sound comes from the floor, as the hand disappears.

[Teddy]

"Hah... Stupid vamps." Gennosuke was silent for a few seconds, seemingly thinking. "I heard rumors about martial arts tournaments around here. Know anything 'bout 'em Kitty?"

Chiko bounded into the establishment with a smile. He sets himself down at a quiet table and pretends to go over the menu, finally setting it down and putting his hands together to wait to be serviced.

Seems to be a nice place. He thought to himself, Mmm. Smells like fesh brewed coffee in here. Maybe I can get a cafe con leche here.

Neko looks to Chiko, then back to Gennosuke. "I would love to participate, since such a tournament would give me a great way to test myself. Hold on, another customer."

She walks over to her energetic new customer. "Hello, what would you like? Decaf or extra caf?"

[SweetSophia]

"Hi. How are you? Fine I hope. I'd like a Cafe con leche, if your fine establishment serves them. If not, I'd very much appreciate a rasberry cappucino, and if not that, I'll take it plain, cafinated with sugar and milk. I think that covers it, just in case. Thank's in advance." Michiko says softly.

Chiko smiles with his eyes closed in the direction of the waitress's voice.

Neko nods, and walks over to the bar. She quickly comes back with a Cafe con Leche. "Your coffee with milk! Habla espanol!"

Chiko grins and sips the coffee, quickly setting it down and fanning his own mouth.

"It's hot! It's good, but hot!" He settles down and takes a cautious sip, "Thank you."
