Widows peaks...

Postby May-chan » Fri Sep 01, 2006 2:18 pm

Just wondering. I have a bit of a widows peak and it drives me nuts. And from what I've heard from anyone else with one; they hate theirs as well. But everyone without one seems to think they are the greatest thing in the world... Mine especially bothers me as my hair parts along the center of my head, but then when it reaches the front it gets all mussed up, drives me nuts it does...

I don't have one, as far as I can tell. It looks like I'm stuck with a full, thick head of long-lasting, normal hair. ^_^; So I'm impartial, really. If I could change my hair at will, I'd likely try all sorts of things (just to make things more interesting).

I don't particularly want one during my teenage years, but darned if Christopher Lee doesn't look like a beast with one.

a widows peak is when the hairline on your forehead pakes a little point at the center. Usually, as in my case, it is just maybe a dozen or two dozen hairs, some people have more... old horror movies and the munsters had exaggeratedly large widows peaks on vampiric characters. I know for some people the peak can be parted or they dont even have a center part.

The strange thing to me is that widow's peaks aren't really that common yet are a dominant genetic trait...

**shrug** I've never really cared about them much at all, truth be told. Don't have one, don't feel driven to acquire one, but don't dislike them either. They're just one more possible feature on the human head.

Cowlicks give me a sorta widow's peak, and combined with my eyes, make me look pretty cool sometimes.

I don't think it's ever been a possibillity for me to have one. My hair doesn't grow straight or very long, so I guess I've never considered it before.
