The Underhill Mines

[Raleigh]

Ebony was watching as the fireball traveled down the cave to see if it revealed an ambush but doesn't notice one. "Alright then, just be cautious."

[Empusa Sesshi]

(sorry about the delays, for some reason it wasn't showing up as having a new post to me)

The pair step cautiously into the cave, the thick stench of goblin instantly assualts their nostrils. The area is very poorly lit, so unless they have perfect vision in the dark somehow...a lightsource is needed.

[Shadowmaster]

Lyons eyes go wide. "Holy..." He creates a fireball and holds it above his hand. "At least we can see..." he said, trying to ignore the stench.

[Raleigh]

"I expected as much. Be ready for a possible attack from behind, though hopefully that light source you have there might keep them somewhat at bay."

[Empusa Sesshi]

You step inside the cave, illuminated by the flickering ball of flame. The goblin stink only gets worse the further in you go. No sign of any goblins yet, but you can hear them faintly further in.

[Shadowmaster]

"Haven't these things ever heard of baths? Oh well, we're getting closer." Lyon said.

[Raleigh]

"I am sure they have, most likely in the blood of infants if we though. I seem to recall a type of goblin known as a redhat that does that, hence its name."

[Shadowmaster]

"Thats messed up. These things are gross..." Lyon says, concentrating on holding the ball of flames.

[Empusa Sesshi]

The pair round a bend in the caves...the whistling sound of fired crossbow bolts hisses from the cave ahead, the small missiles plink all around the girls. One grazes Lyon's shoulder painfully...

[Raleigh]

"And this is why I wear armor. You alright Lyon?" Begins to ready another few poison spells to toss off. Might not kill outright, but it should wear down the archers across from them while they stay under cover.

[Shadowmaster]

Lyon holds his shoulder. "Ow, maybe I should invest in some armor. Anyway..." He finds a stick on the ground and sticks it on the ground, then lights it with the fireball. "Now we should both be able to fight, and see." He then throws the fireball in the direction of the arrows.

[Raleigh]

"Good idea. I think we should have thought of some potions before we left town." Tosses the poison spell at several of the goblins before deciding to change tactics. "How many more fireballs can you call up?"

[Shadowmaster]

"A few. About 15 more, maybe, I guess, before I get too tired." Lyon said, cursing his wound.

[Empusa Sesshi]

A couple of the less hearty looking goblins turn a sickly shade of purple, one even staggering and dropping to the ground. They seem a bit more prepared though and most evade the fireballs...only one gets caught and toasty. They look less then pleased however and seven or eight of them charge down the hall with rusty blades drawn, a few bolts fire over their heads but were shot hastily, so mostly miss the target.

[Shadowmaster]

"Yikes...thats a lot of goblins." Shoots a bolt of lightning at the goblins.
