An Empty Field

From what Mitchell remembers, the Rheiard didn't have any real landing gear like from the physical world before he died... Instead, it seemed to juat float in one place. Maybe... he can figure out a way to slowly cut down on the amount of magic in the Rheiard's core to let it come to a stop...

Looking over the display, there seems to be a small hemisphere that sticks out from the rest of the instruments and displays with one half of it illuminated blue, and the other red... at the moment, the red seems to be full entirely, but the blue is just a sliver. When he first started, he remembered that the blue was full, and the red was just a sliver before he kicked the Rheiard into high gear.

...Maybe that has something to do with changing the propulsion of the Rheiard to get it to stop?

Mitchell thinks that, but then remembers that he slowed down the speed.

"Okay, either that is the throttle gauge, or the fuel gauge...Let's see..."

He steers closer to the ground using slow sweeps, and tries to throttle down as he gets close to it, and turn horizontally, not vertically. No immerman turns, or S-slips, or loop-the-loops here...just your average turn.

"Thank you Ace Combat 5..." During one of the sweeps, he increases speed as he pulls up, and decreases as he gets closer, but increases if he needs to pull up. He checks the gauge closely, and tries to see if it increases when his speed increases.

"If this doesn't increase with my speed...I managed to exhaust an entire fuel tank in one run...this thing's a gas guzzler!"

The blue gauge doesn't seem to change until Mitchell pulls in close to the ground and begins to slow down... and the red gauage seems to decrease as the Rheiard slows down... so maybe it's some sort of propulsion equilizer

*Tiberius looks at Jason oddly.*

Dead? What do you mean by being dead? You look plenty alive to me, not like any undead or ghosts I've had to battle.

Mitchell makes another sweep, and tries to come in for a landing. "Hm...blue gauge is altitude, red gauge is acceleration. I'm glad it's not fuel. Okay, let's try for a landing."

He slows down more rapidly, and tries to get to the ground belly-first, and hopes frantically that this won't be like that one time in Ace Combat 5. Reality does not have continues...and doing a loop-the-loop and landing cockpit first is NOT fun.

[Raleigh]

"Well I am a dead person's soul so technically I am dead. At least in the sense of the world I came from. I suppose here I am alive enough though."

[Helel]

The Rheiard halts on it's own as Mitchell gets just above the ground. The red guage seems to disappear entirely as the Rheiard floats in place while the blue is full. The canopy of the Rheiard fades away, allowing Mitchell to climb out.

Meanwhile, from the forests, some bird-spirits taking wing in a large mass, flying overhead for a few seconds before flying off towards a large, nearby Section (City) called Twin Forks, since it's set on a fork of a rather large river.

From Tiberius and Jason's side of things, the Rheiard swoops down slowly, and the bottom suddenly turns white as a small surge of magical energy is released which brings to Rheiard to a hover. The canopy then fades away, revealing the pilot inside inside... an angel, it seems.

He smiles brightly. "Dang, that was fun. Okay, I'm still not sure what those gauges were, but I definitely need to get some practice in, maybe get some balloons up, and I could be a fighter pilot!"

[Raleigh]

Jason waves over to the pilot. "You alright? That looked a bit on the harrowing side of things."

He gives a thumbs up. "Yeah, I'm okay now, I just wasn't used to flying one of these things, and put the throttle up too high. Once I got the throttle down, it was much easier."

[Funny Hat + Funny Accent]

I think we should introduce ourselves to each other. I have a feeling we'll be working together for quite some time. I'l l even start; I am Tiberius Praetor and am proficient in various ways for combat. Next?

As the trio introduces themselves the Rheiard slowly begins to float down to the ground until it comes to a complete rest and shuts down.

Meanwhile, the various equipment and the Rheiard's transport platform lift off from the ground, float over to the Rheiard, and delicately scoops it off of the ground. Upon completing it's task, the Transporter floats back down to the ground, having secured the Rheiard.
