Strangely enough, not only was there no breeze outside of the forest, but the breeze ceased inside of the forest once Lily had left. Lily, however, couldn't tell that that had happened inside of the forest while she was outside; Raleigh, on the other hand, could (if he were paying attention to what Lily was doing, and hadn't followed her outside of the trees).
What neither would know, is that the trees were howling their sympathy for Lily, as well as remembering horrors from the past. If a human could ever understand the trees of that forest (like so very few other creatures could), they'd learn of a past probably best not remembering.
