Here we have... a bit of art that tells a story. Or rather, captures a moment in a story. See, some of you may remember that an image or two back, I posted a portrait of my character in the Megatropolis universe, a blonde Gothic Lolita named Elise. Well, things got interesting for her not long after that.... She had gotten to talking with MoS' character, a boy close in age to her named Gennosuke. Much to our mutual surprise, a conversation that first seemed to be promising to be a budding friendship... escalated. To make a long story short, a combination of card tricks and banter turned into basically him acting distinctly flirtatious in a manner that was ambiguous in regards to sincerity vs. teasing/baiting, and getting a distinct rise out of her, given that well, she's not too experienced with boys.... This all culminated in her storming after him demanding that he stop "playing games" with her, which led him to pull a card trick which involved incorporating a kiss.... I decided to illustrate one moment in this whole scenario. Here it is:

This is the moment directly afterwards. For those of you who have access to that universe (or plan to), it takes place on page ten of the "Coffee House" thread, though the stuff which led up to it started brewing on about page eight. For those of you without access, here are the two posts that I was specifically illustrating here:
"Gennosuke turned around to her, quirked an eyebrow and was silent for a few seconds. He then bent down and kissed her, pulling a card from her mouth. He held it between his teeth for a few seconds before pulling it out and handing it back to her. "Tired of the game Elise? I think not... It's just beginning, right?"
The heightened color on her cheeks deepened. Her fingertips strayed up to her mouth, which was slightly open as she stared at him, wide-eyed, breath catching a little.
That- that was- my- my first- Oh, whoa.... She swallowed, mouth working. "Um... I- I guess not, after all...." Slowly she took the card, hardly aware of her movements my this juncture, all the while continuing to stare with that look of half-amazement."
They have, in fact, since this time basically fallen in together, though anything akin to this particular exercise has not yet been repeated. And oddest of all is that neither one of us was making any effort to establish a relationship with our character. We had some volleys bck and forth when we were both on-site at the same time, and this just.... happened. It left us rather perplexed, I must say. Even if it is fun to play.
Sorry to get so verbose on you here, but this image required a lot of extra explanation, due to circumstances. Soon I'll probably be posting an image of my character in the "Fae" universe (well, one thread of it, anyway), but in the meantime, I hope you like this. I think it came out rather well, but that's just me.
