[Mistress Guendolen]

Her mouth opened and closed, much like it had earlier. "But- what- I mean, you say all that stuff to me, and then you just up and leave? What am I, some sort of silly toy or something?" She rustled into her handbag, pulled out a wallet, and hastily plunked down some money for her own bill before pursuing. "I am not going to be dismissed like that! I'm sick of people not taking me seriously! I'm not letting you get away with it too, not when it looked like we might actually be becoming friends! But no, then you start laughing at me, treating me like some sort of little puppy that can be shoved aside when you're tired of the little game. I won't stand for that!"

OOC: You know, with how much fun I'm having with this, I think I might have to do a picture of these two together at some point.... What do you think, hm?

[Teddy]

Gennosuke turned around to her, quirked an eyebrow and was silent for a few seconds. He then bent down and kissed her, pulling a card from her mouth. He held it between his teeth for a few seconds before pulling it out and handing it back to her. "Tired of the game Elise? I think not... It's just beginning, right?"

(Heh. I'd love to see what people vizualize Genno as. I say go for it.)

Neko smiles as she overhears Genno and Elise's conversaion. What a cute couple. As for me, I need to pry my boyfriend from under this booth...

She puts the cookie down near Tetsuo, just out of his reach, and turns away from it, looking intently at where the booth's table is screwed into the floor. She begins unscrewing it, and is no longer looking directly at Tetsuo.

Michiko fell back to sit on the floor and sighed, waving at the two near the exit, while looking listlessly off underneath the table.

Wow...people really pair off quickly in this city...suppose that's a good thing. Means there's hope, yet.

[Mistress Guendolen]

The heightened color on her cheeks deepened. Her fingertips strayed up to her mouth, which was slightly open as she stared at him, wide-eyed, breath catching a little. That- that was- my- my first- Oh, whoa.... She swallowed, mouth working. "Um... I- I guess not, after all...." Slowly she took the card, hardly aware of her movements my this juncture, all the while continuing to stare with that look of half-amazement.

OOC: Hmm, I think this little tableau might just be the winner for illustration.... I can just picture him roguishly holding the card in his mouth. I have some other pieces I want to work on, but this one might just be the winner.... Ooo, this game's gonna be FUN.

[Mitera Nikkou]

Tetsuo began to panic, not knowing how to handle the situation. It didn't help when Neko's hand had drawn closer to him to place the cookie within his reach, and it certainly didn't help when he noticed her doing something else with her hands afterward. So, perspiring and shaking, he rushed out of his hiding spot and (frightened into a state of mild confusion) he grasped ahold of the closest person that he had seen: Michiko.

"Mommy!" He cried out, attempting sit on Michiko's shoulders and embrace his head. Whether or not he had cried out for his mother, or had mistaken Michiko for his mother in his confused state, was anyone's guess at that point.

[SweetSophia]

Michiko, with the weight of an otaku setting him off balance fell futher over backwards. Still, with eyes closed and a smile however awkward, Michiko shrugs it off.

Hey, it's not the worst that's happened to me. There was that incident at the bath house...

Michiko quickly diverted his attention to the present again. Attempting to move his head again.

"Well, aren't you friendly. Though it's not Mami, it's Michiko. Easy mistake, could happen to anybody, I mean there are a whole lotta M-names and we can't be expected to remember them all. So...you live here? This seems to be a nice city. You enjoy living here? I think I would. You must really like my head..."
Michiko chatters on in an attempt to make conversation and fill the uncomfortable silence that would surely result.

[Teddy]

Gennosuke blinked and cocked his head to the side. "Ooo.. I think I broke 'er. You all right Elise?" He waved his hand in front of her face, frowning a bit.

(I created a winning scene... Nice. I like your style, so I'll look forward to the pic.)

[Mistress Guendolen]

She blinked a few times, then took a deep breath. "Y-yeah. I- I'm j-just fine.... Just- just... surprised, that's all. Y-you haven't broken me yet!" Elise managed to quirk a smile at that, but the aura of amazement still hung around, and her eyes kept flickering back to his mouth.... I can't believe it. He wanted to after all.... And- oh, this curiosity really is going to get the better of me, because I'm wondering if there's going to be more.... she swallowed again, still watching.

OOC: Well, I think our combined efforts created a winning scene. I had no idea these two would have so much chemistry when they started chatting, though.... But hey, those couple of "volleys" we had when we've both been on-site at the same time really helped me continue developing her, so it's good! Good to know you like my art, too. I'll need to ask you a few details about your character's look, though.

[Mitera Nikkou]

Tetsuo didn't really hear what Michiko had been saying, more due to his voice being muffled by his embrace than his fear. He just kept his eyes clamped shut, trying to escape reality outside of his bedroom.

(OOC: Chemistry, Gwen? I don't know... I think that MoS' character just had an ace in the hole for such a developing situation as that one. ;p)

[Teddy]

Gennosuke grinned at Elise. "Glad to hear it... I mean, it would've been horrible if you had been broken before we began. Shall we go back in? Money an' a place to live can wait."

[Mistress Guendolen]

"That... sounds really good right now. Yes, you'll find I'm not as fragile as I look...." She glanced up at him sideways. But it looks like I do have my vulnerable spots.... Best to try not to let those on just yet, though, as I'm not sure just what sort of territory I'm wandering into.... "And I'll treat you to something else to drink, if you like. I have some money- after all, I just got here, too. It's from a trust my parents left to me.... You can consider it sort of- um- a way of making up for all my fits and starts just- just now...." Rats, I think I'm blushing again! Keep my head down, hopefully it'll pass....

[Skyblue]

(If you wish to gravitate away from the cafe, may I suggest creating a new location, such as an apartment building, or a house, a motel, whatever you wish.)

[Teddy]

"Nah, you don't have to be sorry for what you've done. I mean, I don't wanna impose on ya, you need to keep that money for yourself. As for me? I dunno... Dad's not gonna give me any cash, and I'm not the type to work. But, hey, that can wait 'til later... What matters right now is where we're going to go now."

(Sky: 'Aight, I'll keep that in mind. Nikkou & Gwen: Actually, I'm surprised how the characters interacted, especially in the 'volleys' as well. He developed in a whole different direction than planned. And the ace was in his mouth, not in his sleeve. =P)

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Oh, but it's not an imposition! I- see, there's, well- let's put it this way. One treat for a new friend isn't going to hurt me. I need to find myself some sort of job myself, not to mention a more permanent place of residence. I have a feeling I'm going to be here for some time.... And I can't rely solely on the spirit-connection thing. Yes, sometimes people want ghosts banished or divinations done or whatever, but it's erratic at best. At least until I establish a name for myself.... Not sure what you want to do? Maybe if I think about it, I can find a way to help you figure something out. But now, what would you like to drink? I think I could use that peppermint tea just now...."

OOC: I hear you on unexpected areas of character development! I wasn't expecting this any more than you were. But it's fun, isn't it? I think she's quietly wondering if he's going to pull the ace-in-the-mouth trick again sometime in the future....
