The Coffee House.

"If you say so. Well, when you feel ready to take lessons, mi dojo es su dojo." Michiko smiled, still turned toward Tetsuo.

The paint that was on his back from earlier has started to dissapear, and now that the new effects had taken into testuo, the glowing mark dissapeared leaving what looked like burn marks on the bandages and shirt in the shape of the seal where he had been marked.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Thank you! I'll be sure to remember that. It's very kind of you to offer." She watched as the marks faded and changed. "Oh, my. Do those go- you know- all the way down? That sort of thing isn't permanent, right?"

[SweetSophia]

"Nah. They stay on the superficial fabric, but it shouldn't leave a mark on the skin or anything."

[Mistress Guendolen]

A little sigh of relief. "Good. I was sort of worried about that, even though I probably shouldn't have been.... It's just that energy can do some really weird things, you know? At least if that ever has to be done on me, I'm safe!" And I already have two weird marks on my skin. That's quite enough.... At least I've got these lace mitts on to hide them. Though I guess Genno will see them eventually, if no one else; I mean, I can't wear gloves all the time, especially not at home. Just hope he doesn't find them too weird.... Because I sure do. "And I mention that last bit because somehow, I have a feeling all of us here are going to be seeing each other around...."

Neko looks curious, and moves away from Tetsuo. "So, what all can you do with that, and can I learn!"

"Yeah... Some very weird things... Like create fire outta nowhere." Gennosuke smiled at the last bit of Elise's comment. "So, the brave warriors met at a coffee house? Not exactly the stuff legends are made of."

[SweetSophia]

Michiko puts his hand behind his head and grins a bigger, toothier smile. Embarrased by the attention, but flattered at the same time.

"Lots of stuff. Although mostly it falls in the category of inducing effects on oneself or one's opponenet., but when coupled with some bo staff training and some magical knowledge, it's pretty useful. And, sure you can learn! Like I said, I could always use some students, although how good you get depends on your magical aptitude and your caligraphy skills."

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Hey, I never said the weird things were bad, did I? If fire out of nowhere works for you, then well, that's what works, right?" Too bad my own little weird feature doesn't seem to do anything for me but call attention to itself when I don't wear gloves.... And look at it this way. How many stories do you hear about the heroes meeting in a tavern or the main gathering room of an inn? There are lots. Just consider this the... modern varation."

Tetsuo didn't really know what to do, except lay there and endure the throbbing pain that continued deep within his arms. He kept his tear-soaked eyes closed, wondering when he'd be able to escape the horrible reality that his mother had thrust him into. There was no way that he could live any other way other than being by himself, in his room.

Neko looks back at Tetsuo, seeing that he appeared to twitch. "Um, do your arms hurt less now that they are bandaged up? I'm sorry for what happened, I didn't know that coffee did that to people. I don't think Bob knew either..."

Bob had cleaned up the back, and was just standing there again.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Maybe we should call an ambulance or find someone to take him to the hospital or something? I mean, he probably ought to have those bones cast or something. If nothing else, they can give him something for the pain."

Neko grabs him. "I won't let them take my pet boy to the pound! They'll put him to sleep!"

Bob shakes his head, and begins dialing on a phone in the back.

[Mitera Nikkou]

The grabbing, as expected, caused more pain as his unset arms moved and thus the bones grated on nerves, or made the surrounding muscle pinch nerves. However that works, the author of this post knows that it hurt, and that it made their character wail in agony. XD

Outside, the mother is still sitting on a bench, reading one of those garden magazines for women.

[Teddy]

"...I don't think that they'll put him to sleep. They can only help him, right? I mean, that's what humans usually do..."

[SweetSophia]

"Yeah, sweety. I'm assuming he's not a puppy and humans don't get put down in hospitals. We can only do so much for him here. He's going to need medical attention sooner or later."
