Thank you! I guess I hear you there. I often can't figure out what to say that would be a contribution of substance, either. And do try to take part in one or both of these universes, if you can. I'm quite enjoying them. :) And I have at least three more characters to figure out.... There's going to be a lot of character art posted here, I have a feeling.

lol yea. I'm still trying to get the entire Twilight fleet drawn... My bet is I'll get through 3 more crew members and drop it cause by then I'll want to draw the ships in the fleet then remember that I'm horrible at drawing mecha -_-

Really? Me too! Ironic, because I'm very fond of it, overall. But I can't seem to wrap my mind around drawing mechanical things. The right sort of details don't seem to come through. I got an art book about it, which has helped at least a little, but it's not something I do often enough to know how much, unfortunately.

The irony with me is I try every few months and just seem to get worse... The best thing I ever managed to draw was a guitar XD Wish I could find that sketch....

Nice, very likeable.

Although the hips look a little out of place to me...

Neverless It's a good design.

Very nice. If I might say so I think you are really getting a good grasp on the human body. Please keep drawing! ^_^

Thanks, everybody! I've got a couple more potential outsfits in mind for this character, if anyone's interested.... ;) But I have a couple more pieces I need to do first. I design outfits in this style quite a lot, so I have a lot of practice in THAT regard, at least. As to everything else, well, I keep working at it. Every drawing done is more practice....

Here's a little piece I've been holding onto for a while now. See, I did it as a request for Kamal some time ago. But I only just now got the okay on it, seeing as life had interfered with his internet time for quite a while. But now that it has approval, I'm posting it for everyone to see. There were a couple pictures used as inspiration for this, but unfortunately I don't have them anymore. If the recipient wishes to link to them in this thread, I wouldn't mind.... Either way, here's the picture. I hope you like it.

It's a rather different look than I usually use, but overall it works fairly well. I'm also currently working on a request for Garath- a portrait of his "Dark Moon" character- so hopefully I'll be adding that one in the next couple days, as well. This is a prolific time for art, for me.... Even if I am just posting pictures I've been saving up for a few weeks. :P

It's very nice. You do good work.

Here we have... a bit of art that tells a story. Or rather, captures a moment in a story. See, some of you may remember that an image or two back, I posted a portrait of my character in the Megatropolis universe, a blonde Gothic Lolita named Elise. Well, things got interesting for her not long after that.... She had gotten to talking with MoS' character, a boy close in age to her named Gennosuke. Much to our mutual surprise, a conversation that first seemed to be promising to be a budding friendship... escalated. To make a long story short, a combination of card tricks and banter turned into basically him acting distinctly flirtatious in a manner that was ambiguous in regards to sincerity vs. teasing/baiting, and getting a distinct rise out of her, given that well, she's not too experienced with boys.... This all culminated in her storming after him demanding that he stop "playing games" with her, which led him to pull a card trick which involved incorporating a kiss.... I decided to illustrate one moment in this whole scenario. Here it is:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/ ... rshock.jpg

This is the moment directly afterwards. For those of you who have access to that universe (or plan to), it takes place on page ten of the "Coffee House" thread, though the stuff which led up to it started brewing on about page eight. For those of you without access, here are the two posts that I was specifically illustrating here:

"Gennosuke turned around to her, quirked an eyebrow and was silent for a few seconds. He then bent down and kissed her, pulling a card from her mouth. He held it between his teeth for a few seconds before pulling it out and handing it back to her. "Tired of the game Elise? I think not... It's just beginning, right?"

The heightened color on her cheeks deepened. Her fingertips strayed up to her mouth, which was slightly open as she stared at him, wide-eyed, breath catching a little. That- that was- my- my first- Oh, whoa.... She swallowed, mouth working. "Um... I- I guess not, after all...." Slowly she took the card, hardly aware of her movements my this juncture, all the while continuing to stare with that look of half-amazement."

They have, in fact, since this time basically fallen in together, though anything akin to this particular exercise has not yet been repeated. And oddest of all is that neither one of us was making any effort to establish a relationship with our character. We had some volleys bck and forth when we were both on-site at the same time, and this just.... happened. It left us rather perplexed, I must say. Even if it is fun to play. :) Sorry to get so verbose on you here, but this image required a lot of extra explanation, due to circumstances. Soon I'll probably be posting an image of my character in the "Fae" universe (well, one thread of it, anyway), but in the meantime, I hope you like this. I think it came out rather well, but that's just me.

Okay, I may have again garnered no reaction to my last posting, but that doesn't stop me from trying again! I finished this one a couple weeks ago, but am only just now posting it. She's my character from the Excavation thread in the "Fae" universe. Her name is Brenna (last name as yet unknown), and is a student at the site that's being excavated. She's quite the freewheeling blithe spirit, Brenna is; she's sort of a tomboy without the athleticism. Extremely low-maintenance, it's a real struggle to get her to wear anything not comfortable, practical, and utilitarian. She tends to say what she thinks, to boot; in fact, one might argue that the filter between her mouth and her brain doesn't work as well as most other peoples' do.... However, unlike the stereotypical tomboy, she's hopelessly clumsy. Not for want of effort, though, and she always cheerfully bounces back more than willing to try again. Brenna loves being out in nature, relishing in camping out and being in the woods and what not, overall feeling a strong affinity for the outdoors and all that lies within it. And last but not least, she's rather, well, shameless.... Or at least unconcerned. Not unlike Ranma when in female form, Brenna doesn't possess much in the way of "feminine modesty." Not to say she's a streaker or flasher or whatever, but rather, she really doesn't care who sees what, operating under the belief that this was how we were made, and there's no reason to hide it or be embarrassed about someone seeing something most people say they shouldn't. Needless to say, she's not particularly inhibited.... But I realize I haven't even shown you the picture yet. Here she is!

Yeah, I know the foreshortening on the one leg is sort of odd; it looked better in the original draft, I must say. But despite that, I do like this image, overall. She's quite the laid-back one, it seems. :)

I didn't really notice the leg at first, I just figured it was bent. It really isn't much to note, just a certain wrinkle in the pants at the knee could correct it easily. It's good over all. I give this a seal of approval ^_^

Hmm.. There's an idea.. maybe I'll make a "Stellar's seal of approval" thing...

It is bent. I just thought I might have shown it too sharply, and not conveyed the forshortening well enough. You ought to create a stamp of approval. You can use it all over the forum. :)
