Social stuffs

Postby Mitera Nikkou » Tue Dec 05, 2006 8:11 am

I tend to only work with people when it's necessary, but that's only during non-confrontational stuff. If I have to do it in person, I try to avoid getting involved; it just doesn't work for me. So, I guess I avoid it for the most part. Between having no one caring about me, and the social rift, that's just how I turned out. Which isn't working for me anymore, now that I'm too apathetic and detached to prompt myself to do things on my own.

I go to a good deal of effort to avoid working with people. I don't mind dealing with people online but I have problems with dealing with people face to face. It stresses me out and I tend to worry about it obsessively. I even have trouble doing necessary things like going to stores. It's not even that I have some specific thing I'm afraid of it's simply a general discomfort.

Working with people can be extremely helpful, as long as I don't either take over the work, or let them do it all. :(

And, Nikkou, we care about you!

I know that, Mitchell. There was just a long time in my life when no one did, then, later on, I figured out that it was even longer than I realized, in retrospect. Once the rest of the stuff set it, that pretty much sealed it. This happened before I came to MSF.

I'm a people person and a student of human nature. It seems inevitable that I'm going to work with people.

It depends on what i am doing. I'm a horror to work with on anything academic and i hate it myself as well and very much prefer to work alone. For more personal things working with others can often be nice, if for no other reason than that i like having company, even if it isn't helping with completing the task at hand.

I usually prefer to work alone, but sometimes having a bit of company can be nice or helpful.

Usually alone. People keep on asking me questions like "What's the answer to number 5?" and stuff way too much. Plus, I like alone time.

I WOULD choose never just for the emoticon, though! :D

PS: I love emoticons. :D *dances*

Though it was in my nature to work by myself for years and years, I've developed a tendency to ENJOY working with people moreso now.

Who knows, I may have inherited my dad and grandfather's social butterfly tendencies. :D

Because of certain personal reasons, I tend to work alone, and WILL move away from people who try to get too close...I've worked alone efficiently, more efficiently than when I work with others.

Duh, I am the head developer of my team. I have to work with many people and know how to sort things between the group.
