[Teddy]

"And being protective of me will NEVER be a bad thing. I could handle any physical threat... But spirits?" He paused for a second, tapping his chin. "Ah, I think I'm only hot to the touch because I'm on FIRE. Well, not literally, but I think it's got somethin' ta do with me being able to control fire with my ki... I hope."

[Mistress Guendolen]

She couldn't help but laugh a little at his assessment of the temperature. "Well, if you say so, but I do think it needs keeping an eye on.... Maybe you should take some medicine anyway, just to be sure. I can get it for you no problem, you won't have to get up.... But don't worry, I won't hover or fuss. At least, not unnecessarily so. Are you always- um- hot, then? That might be a clue as to whether it's connected to the fire-control thing or not.... And don't worry, I'll take care of the spirit end of things. After all, you've got the strength side covered."
She smiled a little, and then snuggled a little closer, a movement more instinctual than deliberately planned. Funny, how natural all this is getting.... Earlier today, I'd have turned bright red just at the thought of cuddling with a boy. But now... I don't even mention that this closeness wouldn't be helping a raised temperature because I don't want to move.... Life gives you surprises. "Is that why you went to sleep literally on me, huh? Wore yourself out." She gave the tip of his nose a playful tweak. "Just don't do that too often. Don't want this life we're decided to undertake together be made up of you always sleeping!"

[Teddy]

Genno laughed. "We spend one-third of our lives asleep anyway, so I'm just getting it out of the way!" He rested his chin on the top of her head, closing his eyes. "...What're we gonna do tomorrow? I mean, you've gotta have SOME sort of plan, right?"

[Mistress Guendolen]

A laugh drifted into a happy little sigh, and she snuggled her head against his shoulder. "I guess you've got a point there, and... I have to admit that this is, well, awfully cozy.... As for tomorrow, well, I do know we need to go to the grocery store. Quite mundane, I know, but we need to eat. This place may have come fully furnished- unusual, especially for the good rates, but I'm certainly not going to argue about that- but something tells me that those cupboards aren't going to be fully stocked. And then I do need to look for work.... I mean, I do have a trust from my parents, set up in case anything ever... happened to them. I can't touch the principle right now, because of the way it was all set up, but the interest is enough for me to live on okay. But I want to earn my own keep, at least to a degree. You know?"

[Teddy]

"Ah, yes. Food. That's always a good thing to have... I'll see what all I can find in the way of work myself. Maybe a chef?" He shifted his head so his hair fell across the back of her head. "Yeah, I understand. I understand the need to be independant."

[Mistress Guendolen]

"A chef?" She giggled again. "You can cook? I'm learning more about you all the time. And given that you wanted to get away from home, I'd think you would understand independence really well. Though in this case, I think it's nice to, well, have someone to be independent with...." She shifted the arm that had been behind his shoulders to a little further down his back, about shoulder blade level. "Much better than being lonesome, that's for certain."

Neko bursts through the second floor window, and crashes at the feet of the two cuddling people. Her form is different, covered with fur across her body. She growls to herself, and as she gets up, she reveals some of her fur matted with blood. She spits out of her short muzzle, dropping a fang to the floor.

When she sees Genno and Elise, she smiles, though a bit weakened. "Hi guys! I got a bit of a problem, would you too mind helping me out?" She reaches to her shoulder, and removes a pencil that is stuck in it. "I have NO idea how she can do that..." She swoons a little, and doesn't get up past her knees.

(Finally! Some activity in this thread! Whoo! It's been ages....)

Elise's mouth fell open as the catgirl tumbled through their window. Luckily, it had been open.... Her head came up off Genno's shoulder, and she leaned forward, though it was tricky to go much further than she did, what with Genno's arm draped around her shoulders. "Oh- oh, my! What happened to you? You poor thing, you're a mess- oh, that sounds awful, and I'm sorry, it just popped out, but well- how did you get like this?... Uh, Genno? Would you mind letting go for a sec? I- think our furry friend here needs some first aid...." She squinted, studying Neko closer. "And- uh- you're looking quite... furrier... from the last time we saw you...."

[Teddy]

Genno sprang to his feet, popping his neck. "What happened Neko? No.. Wait, we'll get ya fixed up before then." He ran over to Neko, checking out her wounds and such, seeing what could have caused them.

[Mistress Guendolen]

Elise jumped to her feet. "Hold on a sec. I've got some basic first-aid stuff- I always keep it around- I'll run and get it." She hurried off to her room; a series of thumps and rustles was quickly followed by her bustling back out, a case in her hands. "Okay, got this! Bandages- antiseptic ointment- peroxyide and swabs- anything I'm forgetting?" She dropped down to her knees next to them, getting out the necessary materials. Weird. I'm focused here, and I'm worried about Neko, but I'm still so... aware... of him, right next to me. This is so strange.... She quickly did her best to tamp down those thoughts, knowing she could ponder them after they'd taken care of their furry companion.

Her fur retracts, and her muzzle shortens. Her hands and feet go from paw-like, to a more human form. Soon, she's the same Neko they had seen in the coffee shop. Only, she wasn't covered in numerous cuts, a few light stab wounds to various points, almost like attempted accupunture with a really big needle. She smiles at them. "Don't worry about me, that nice paramedic guy's in trouble. There's a warehouse about a block dataway." She points towards the direction of the window.

"His friend's dead, and the rest are unconscious, I was gonna ask 'em a few questions, but then she came, and I got beat."

[Teddy]

"She came? What are you blathering about Neko?" Genno gently grabbed some peroxyide and poured it on Neko's wounds. "Thanks Elise... Now, if you could tend to the rest of Neko's injuries, I've got some skulls ta crack." And with that, the somewhat rested Genno headed towards the door.

Neko moves to answer his question, but it's muffled by the 'ow' as the peroxide bubbles in her many wounds. Her mouth constantly begins moving, no recognizable words coming out, only various phrases distorted by the pain.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Sorry about that... it stings, but it means its cleaning it, it'll all be better in just a minute...." Elise got busy putting ointment on the various injuries and bandaging them. "Oh, and Genno? Just where are you going? I may be all about freedom, but I'm also all about knowing where the heck my boyfriend is going, just in case I need to go after him. Especially if he sounds like he's planning to get in a fight. Or fights."

[Xiao]

Daniel walks into the building and up to the counter, pushing his glasses up as he does so.

"Can I help you?" the woman behind the counter asked.

"Yes," Daniel replied, "I was told that there is a room here for me, my name is Daniel Rhensviere."

"Ah yes," the woman responded, "I was called about that this morning, I was told to ask them for rent as well so don't worry about it."

"Thanks," Daniel said before walking to the stairwell and heading for his room. After a few minutes of trying to easily walk up the stairs with bag and staff in tow, made it to his room. He walked inside and found that there already were several furnishings. He sat down on a brown sofa that was sitting in the front room, it was kind of old, but still comfortable. He laid back on the soft cushions, he had been traveling almost all day, and was glad that the majority of it was over. Unpacking could wait, it was just a few clothes and books anyway.

He pointed towards a lightswitch, which glowed purple a few seconds before flipping, causing a cieling fan that was above him to hum to life. He had always loved the sound of fans, it always relaxed him, as it was currently doing, so he lay and rested for a moment, exausted from travel.
