Apartment Complex

[Teddy]

"Eh. I'm only going for a walk around the block... Maybe look at some warehouses filled with punks. I SHOULD be fine." He paused for a moment, thinking. He walked towards Elise with a fluid grace, then kissed her. "I'll be fine 'cause that? That was for luck."

[Mistress Guendolen]

Elise blinked up at him, eyes wide and breath catching just a little as a flush suffused her cheeks. Apparently some aspects of a relationship could still make her blush.... "O-okay...." she managed after a moment. "B-but- you sure- I can come- I just- you know- don't want anything to happen to you...."

[Teddy]

"Yes... But these aren't your area of specialty. They're physical people, right Neko?" He paused for a second, not waiting for a response. "But if you're THAT worried, once Neko seems in good shape, then ya can come after me. But I think I'll be fine." And with that, he stepped out of the door, hands in his jacket pockets.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Hey, I'm not that much of a weakling, you know! I may be better at the spirit magic, but I can do some stuff!" Then his comment about Neko registered, and she re-realized that their little exchange had had an audience, which made her blush more. She hurriedly turned back to her first aid, eyes fixed on what she was working on and not quite looking at the catgirl. "So- um- anyway, Neko, wh-what happened? M-more specifically, I mean...."

Neko's eyes had rolled up in her head, and she was apparently unconscious. The adrenaline rush had fallen, and the pain from the wounds rendered her unconscious.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Oh, no- this is not good- okay, what do you do to awaken an unconscious person-" Elise's mind spun as she tried to remember as much about first aid as possible. "Okay- check pulse rate, check heartbeat- she won't have a fever, unless- oh no, I hope she doesn't need a tetanus shot, after all that! What do you use to wake them up, though...." She lightly slapped Neko's cheek with the palm of one hand, groping around for the cool damp cloth she'd been using on Genno's face earlier with the other.

[Xiao]

Daniel had dozed off, but was awakened by a small clattering coming from next door. He sat up on the couch and pushed up his glasses which had slipped down his nose while he was resting. He pressed his ear against the wall and listened to Elise's rantings. Seems like a good place to start, he thought before picking up his staff.

He paced for a few seconds, getting a decent fake limp going to better explain the staff. After he felt that his movements were believable, he walked out of his apartment and over to the next door, which he proceeded to knock on.

When slapped, Neko's face simply rolls over. Her pulse is regular, it is quite possible that she simply collapsed form exhaustion. Of course, she still needs her wounds treated and all that. Still, she doesn't appear to be bleeding to death, so she should survive. At least, the blood isn't pouring out of the wounds.

Elise was just finishing up bandaging Neko and trying to make her as comfortable as possible where she was, not being strong enough to lift her onto the couch (but at least she could put a pillow under her head and a blanket over her) when the knocking sounded on the door. She got to her feet, made a quick check to make sure she was reasonably presentable, and made her way to the portal. Opening it a small space, she peered out to see who was there. "Yes? Can I help you?"

[Xiao]

"Hello, I live next door and I couldn't help but notice that you seemed paniced about someone or someone needed help," Daniel said with a small grin, "I came to see if I could be of help in any way."

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Um- well- I thank you for your offer, that- that's very nice of you, but I don't think I need help-" Better not open this door too wide, don't want to have to explain Neko, especially as I don't really even know what happened there myself.... "-Not to mention that we just moved in today, so it's not exactly settled for guests to come in- But thank you for stopping by anyway. I'm Elise. Have you- um- lived here long?"

[Xiao]

Daniel smiled and replied, "Oh no, I just moved in recently, I'm Daniel by the way, Daniel Rhensvale." He said extending his hand.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Nice to meet you...." Elise accepted the hand, suddenly rather self-conscious of the fact that she wasn't wearing any gloves. With the practice of one used to doing this, as she reached out she casually turned her hand over just a little, so the palm didn't show. No point in letting anyone see that weirdness before absolutely necessary.... "So- um- you're new to this city too, then?" I hope Neko's all right, she seems to be, but though this fellow seems nice enough, but I'm kind of hoping he moves on so I can keep an eye on her....

[Xiao]

Daniel shook her hand, paying no attention to the palm and said, "Yeah, just arrived here today, are you sure everything's all right? You seem nervous." While he was saying the last two sentences, his eyebrows dropped slightly, out of minor confusion at her uncertainty in speaking.

[Mistress Guendolen]

Oh, no- am I that obvious? I never was good at prevaricating.... "Everything's fine, really," she assured him, perhaps just a little too hastily. "I mean, we really did just get here, I guess I'm not- you know- completely settled yet...." Hope that works, it's partially true....
