Apartment Complex

[Mistress Guendolen]

Elise's head lolled from side to side. Her eyes flickered a bit, but she really didn't show any sign of actually coming awake yet.

(OOC: I'm assuming that it's going to take a minute before she fully comes to. Just like waking up someone who fainted, really.)

[Xiao]

Daniel sighed, yes, something was apparently wrong, he shook her slightly to try and speed up the waking process.

[Mistress Guendolen]

Elise's mind was floating somewhere in a thick, dense fog. Ssomewhere beyond that fog, was a voice.... It was getting clearer. She made an odd little sound, head bobbing a bit again. Her eyes fluttered, this time partially opening. She made another sound. "Mrrr?..." Yes, something was strange. She felt... almost heavy. Like the world was slowed down, or a thick muffler had been draped around her head.... No, her head was stuffed full of socks, and there was a faint ringing in her ears.... Was someone calling her name?...
Gradually, the fog started to lift. The ringing buzz cleared, and finally, she was able to hold her eyes open long enough to see... fuzzy, but still see.... There was someone in front of her... shaking her? Had she fallen asleep? She'd sat on the couch to watch over Neko, and then she'd felt a bug bite her on the back of the neck or something.... Why would she fall asleep?
"Muh?" Her mouth felt like it was full of some sort of fuzz, or like her tongue suddenly took up too much space. Her speech was slightly thick, though it was slowly starting to clear. "Uh?... G-genno? Neko?..."

[Xiao]

"Never heard of this and Genno and I don't see a cat," Daniel said as he stopped shaking her, "Forgive the intrusion, but you seemed to have fainted, I came to ask for something, but you wouldn't answer the door, and it was slightly ajar. What knocked you out?"

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Knocked... out?..." She was still a little fuzzy, but was getting clearer. "I... wasn't. I was just sitting here.... Then something... bit me, I think.... Next thing I know, you were shaking me...." Eliise sat up a little bit, rolling her head on her shoulders. "I feel so stiff... almost like lead...." It finally registered that oh, yes, perhaps she should explain the others. "Genno's m'boyfriend- we moved in today- Neko's our friend, and she's right there-" Elise pointed at the spot where Neko was lying on the rug- or rather, where she wsa supposed to be lying, but there was now only an empty patch, minus both catgirl and rug. She blinked, mind starting to clear very quickly. "Wait- where's Neko? Neko?"

[Xiao]

"Hmm," Daniel started, "You suddenly black out, and someone's missing, sounds like they were trying to sneak away for some reason, someone kidnapped them, or you were tired, fell asleep, and she didn't want to bother you. Any idea if she needed to be somewhere or if anyone was looking for her?"

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Needed to be somewhere? No. And she couldn't go anywhere. She was out cold! Fell asleep right there...." She shook her head. "And I wasn't that tired. Yes, it had been a- a busy day-" She blushed faintly, as exactly why it had been so busy came to the front of her mind. "But- but not that busy! And- either way, she just sort of dropped in- and then- dropped off...." A hand rubbed her forehead. "I don't understand any of this.... She was in bad shape when she turned up, kept talking about a her, but then went to sleep before telling us who this her was. But that doesn't explain how I got to be out of it like this! No one else came in here after Genno left, I swear it!"

[Xiao]

"Calm down," Daniel said after listening to the testimony, "If she was out cold then the only thing that I can think of that happened is someone came and took her, and if I could get in here with a walking stick, then someone could have easily gotten her while being quiet. And how you got knocked out, you said that something bit you, and then you went unconscious for no reason, could someone have been trying to knock you out?"

[Mistress Guendolen]

"I'd like to think I'd notice someone walking into my apartment! I was awake, you know, when I last saw her. And it wasn't as if I got clubbed over the head, either. It was... a little pinch. Like a mosquito bite or something."

[Xiao]

Daniel began to scan to room when he saw the open window, "Could someone have gotten in through here?" he said while closing it.

[Mistress Guendolen]

Elise angled her head to the side, looking at it. "I guess... I mean, it's big enough...." And Neko came in through there, though I'm sure not about to complicate things by mentioning that. "Though we are on the second floor, and how easy would it be for someone to come in through a window without me noticing?" Neko was pretty obvious, after all.

[Xiao]

"I am not sure, unless they were extremely agile, or could fly," Daniel said in response, and he lowered his head slightly, thinking over what he had been doing, before continuing, "Forgive me, it seems that I immediatly jumped to a conclusion without properly reviewing facts, this could just be two coincidences, though random fainting doesn't sound normal, I shouldn't have immediatly jumped to kidnapping after your first statements. If you wish for me to leave I will."

[Mistress Guendolen]

Elise shook her head. "No. You don't have to. I... really do appreciate this. I mean, you hardly know me, but you're going out of your way to help. You didn't have to do that. So thanks..... Guess I did need some help after all, huh?" She sighed a little. "But I still have a hard time believing I fainted. I never faint. I didn't when I- oh, never mind those stories now. I just need to figure out what's going on here....

[Xiao]

"Thanks," Daniel said as he turned around to reply to Elise's statement, but as he did, he noticed the angle at which the window was compared to the couch, "Exactly where did you get 'bitten'?" he asked.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Uh... it was... sort of on the back of the neck...." Her hand wandered up to lightly touch the spot. "How it got through my hair, I'll never know...."
