And if you're desperate enough, jot down that you're willing to work for minimum, despite your credentials.

well i've let you known what i think you should do in our aim chats so there's no real point in reiterating on the forums.

in response to the qualifications, yeah there important... but what the manager/hirer thinks of you as a person >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> skills. if they don't like you for some reason even if it's superfical chances you won't get it. that and there's always the whole connect effect.... in short if someone else there was related to them some how (in a positive light) chances are unless there a idiot they will still get the job over you regardless of skills.

in the end job searching suxs and has taken on it's own type of culture... not always in the best of waym but it's needed in life.
the anti-thesis of myself... come see, feel, know the truth beyond truths it'll just cost your soul.....

my brain is my power, no. but if you want i'll take some time to teach you some beginner level japanese

Chibi MitchellTF wrote:As for getting a job, I'm not sure what you can do. I've gotten two jobs, one volunteer, one paid work. Both times, I got it by knowing someone in management. If you can get volunteer work, you can put it on your resume, so it's easier to get work. So, you have to have work to get work, which sorta sucks...I'm sorry.

Neo's guide to getting a job [V1.0]

Part 1: getting to know your enviroment, as well as your skills
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

To get a job that pays well [and you appreciate] takes both a knowledge of your surroundings AND you. so, make a list for yourself saying what you would like/dislike to do. what would be your compromise? what is your dream job? what job wont you work at? why? and such.

Once you know yourself well enough, i recommend just driving around looking at stores, and stoping by to see the staff [the staff makes the job bearable, ask anyone who's worked fast food]. If you think you'd like to work there, INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO THE MANAGER OR STAFF. be kind, considerate, and leave your name with them before grabbing an application.

Editors note: I have personally taken the time to know the entire staff up at EB/Gamestop, and because of that, i'm first in line for a job there, as well as getting a lot of cool free things [like tshirts, etc] as well as able to get things when i would normally never have a chance [got my black DS lite first day it came out].

I'd also like to suggest visiting around the mall to see if a job is there. it's an insider's secret that most of the food court offers a "mall employee's discount" of 5-10% off, as well as other misc stores offering discounts for mall employees. It all adds up in the end; and is somthing to consider.
