"Why weapons? Lights, okay, yeah; the crystals are so bright I forgot we'd need them. But I've roamed that forest before, and never met anything scary. Including without boots.... But yeah, I guess I should put pants on, now you mention it. There are a lot of brambles.... Got cut in some bad places that one time...." She winced in recollection of that particular little memory. "Be back in a sec." Brenna then darted off towards the tent, coming out a couple minutes later with her boots on but untied, just fastening her pants, and with her shirt still unbuttoned. A tie dangled from her mouth, which she used to hastily pull her hair back from her face. "Okay, dunno about you, but I'm set," she said as she stooped to tie up her boot laces.

(OOC: Say, gwen, can you give me more info on the trek in the forest that Brenna mentioned? I'd like to hear it since the group is on the opposite side of the forest from where they came from.)

Lily goes over her memories, remembering all the strange things that happened. She has a far off look in her face, as if she wasn't really there. "Because I'm almost convinced that there are people present there. At the least, someone had to have planted that string of hair. Then there was that strange wind. That place is not normal. It was like someone was moaning..." She shivers, feeling suddenly cold, and she doesn't really know why.

"Really? That's weird. Admittedly I only sort of poked around the edge, but I never got anything like that.... But now you've really got my curiosity piqued. Shall we go?"

OOC: I'll give you more info on that little trek as soon as I figure out exactly what happened.... She said it, I didn't.

"Yeah, just let's stop by and 'borrow' some stuff for self defense. Just in case. Follow me." Lily begins to head towards the best place to get something for self defense, even if she has to improvise.

(Nikkou, you can be the one to rule what she can get. Knives, pickaxes, a flintlock pistol, shovels. Her order goes to 'real weapon', 'something pointy', to 'something smashy'.)

The best place for weapons would be in the wagon, under one of the benches inside. When Lily looks there, providing that she has a light so she can see things, she will find the following: four pickaxes; two shovels; one machete; one sledgehammer; two mallets (for the tent pikes/spikes, so they have short handles); and one chisel with accompanying hammer.

After equipping herself with lights for each of them, she comes back with a pick-ax, shovel, and a machete for herself. She also makes sure to bring equipment to take samples, just like last time. "Okay, Brenna, now we're ready."

"Sounds good!" Brenna grabbed the pick-axe, resting it on her shoulder. "Ready for anything now. Let's get this adventure rolling!" With that, she happily trotted towards the treeline.

Lily follows, and nods to herself. Mental note. Mark the trees. Mark it on the outermost layer of the bark, if I recall that'd be the equivalent of cutting someone's hair. Funny, I don't think trees can feel, but it still seems a vague concern...

Holly spent the time they took to get ready and gather materials still watching the crystals. She was already dressed after all, and had a blanket wrapped over her shoulders.

Once the two were ready she stood up with a sigh, not wanting to leave the crystals. "I'll be fine without ... a shovel," Holly chuckled some not taking the provided digging tool. She shifted the blanket over her shoulders, picked up the lantern she already had with her, relight it, and followed after the two. Since they knew where they were going (and she didn't) she stayed a few paces behind them both to not loose sight of them incase one tries to sneak off back to the crystals.

On the way to the forest, nothing worth noting will happen. However, once they come close enough to the forest, they'll notice a faint glint of light. When they get even closer, they'll notice that it's on the ground, at the mouth of the forest.

When Donald thought that they were far away enough, he stepped out from his hiding place and watched as they traveled further from the campsite. While he didn't like the idea of them going alone, at night, to a forest with unknown dangers... Well, he felt like he should allow them some measure of freedom to stretch their young, adventurous legs out. He remembered being the same way, at their age.

Sighing, he went over to the hole, within which the glowing crystal resided, and he sat down. He looked down at the crystal, his mind lost in thought. It was such a spectacular find, and yet it was too much of one... He didn't want to endanger those that he had been charged with protecting. Letting them leave camp made him worried, and he questioned himself, wondering if it had been a bad idea after all.

"I hope they get back okay." He said with a sigh, then flinched when he saw the crystal wink to a blue color and back.

"You better not be planning to do anything funny." He told the crystal in a serious tone, receiving another another wink from it.

He shook his head, wondering where his mind was going.

Lily gestures for them to hide when they see the light. "Guys. I think I see people. Here's the plan. We douse the lights, and approach slowly under the cover of darkness. If there ARE people, we might want to get back ASAP."

[Mistress Guendolen]

Brenna considered this. "Why? They might be... oh, yeah, they might be trying to rob the site so they can sell stuff to private collectors!" She snuffed the light she was carrying. "So- uh- how will we see where we're going?..."
