Neko-Jin HQ

[Mitera Nikkou]

"Y-yeah..." Tetsuo finally said, though quietly, heart racing, her thoughts a tumult of worry.

Due this this, she didn't notice Rose saying or doing anything, much less much of anything else in her immediate environment.

Neko smiles at Tetsuo. "You make a cute girl!"

Genno's thoughts turn to words that cannot be said in this post... Suffice to say, he noticed Rose reach for her weapon... And heard their entire evil scheme... Well, misguided and crazy then. Not really that evil. He leapt up and kicked the door, hoping to hit Rose, allowing him to make a run for it.

Tetsuo whirled around, regarding Neko with hope-filled eyes.

"R-really...!?"

Then she blushed, looked down, and fidgeted. While she liked the compliment, she still wasn't completely used to the idea that she was a girl. Then she was startled by the noise that Genno had made with his kick and, perhaps, whatever immediately resulted from it.

Rose is hit by the door, and slammed into the bars, in a scene that by all rights belonged in Looney Tunes. Scientia throws her hands up in the air, while Teacher's Pet assumes a battle stance, along with Catnip. Unfortunately, when Scientia threw her hands in the air, she also threw up the key. Neko reaches out, and grabs it.

She unlocks her cage, and opens it with equal force. Scientia is clipped, and whirls around, clutching her side. Catnip, Teacher's Pet, and Tetsuo are the only Neko-Jin not stunned, though Tetsuo isn't exactly a card carrying member. Neko barrels out, and takes stock of the situation.


Basically, Genno and Neko are flanking Catnip, Teacher's Pet, and Tetsuo. From the perspective of someone inside middle of the two cages, specifically Rose, Genno is on the left, and Neko is on the right. Teacher's Pet is facing Genno, Catnip is facing Neko, and Tetsuo is close to Catnip.

Neko smiles. "I've decided. I don't want to rule the city, or the world, or Cleveland, or whatever. I just want a nice sunbeam, a glass of milk, a tuna sandwich and a pillow. Tetsuo-chan, I'm getting out of here. Which family will you take? Coffee Shop Crew, or Neko-Jin?"

Genno laughs as he gets out, not expecting it to work that well. "I'm with Neko... Even though I was never offered to rule the world." He sums up the situation quickly, knowing that even if Tetsuo helped, there would still be one helluva fight to go through before they could even THINK about getting away.

Tetsuo, predictably, was at a loss as to what to do. She liked the closeness with the other catgirls, but she also liked Neko. She had nothing against any of them, really... It didn't seem like anyone was any more right or wrong than the other, although some of that may have been due to personal bias on her part. She began to pull down on her ears while she huddled her arms close to her body, an expression on her face that clearly showed conflict. She had her eyes closed, so she could be alone with her racing thoughts.

By the time she was capable of saying anything, she didn't know how much time had passed. However, tears were evident in her eyes, so torn was she in making such a decision so soon in her new life.

"D-do I have to choose...? Do I... I have to support anyone...?" She choked back a sob. "Th-this isn't fair..."

She fell to her knees, head bowed, on the verge of crying.

Catnip and Neko both move towards Tetsuo. They each grab him by one hand, and smile at him. They speak as one, with their feelings as one. "It's okay. No matter what you choose, I will still care about you."

She notices that Catnip is only holding him with one paw, and the other hits Neko on the back prompting a glare. "Tetsuo-chan first, fight later."

Catnip hisses back. "But you'll try to escape."

Neko growls. "Not without my boy, er...girlfriend."

Catnip's eyes narrow. "You know, we were your 'girlfriends' once. You abandoned US...and obviously have taken a different path."

Neko's loving squeeze on Tetsuo's hand turns into a bit of a death-grip. "I was arrested by the military, and sent to an asylum. And you guys were too!"

The two let go, and there is a moment of silence as they stare at each other.


Meanwhile, Teacher's Pet is the one starring at Gennosuke. She looks at the pencil in his shoulder, and smiles. "I haven't even begun round two, and already you're at a disadvantage. I'd quit now, before you fail." Her tone is scientific, and passionless, except when she says fail, which has an undercurrent of scorn.

[Teddy]

"I don't plan on failing this time...." He pulled the pencil out, little bits of fire trailing behind his hand. "I've got a purpose this time, and I don't care if hell itself is in my way..."

The pain in Tetsuo's hand had been a good enough distraction for her to grasp (pun intended ;p) the current situation instead of focusing on her inner turmoil. She looks up between Catnip and Neko, her ears folded back, a concerned expression on her face.

"W-wait..." She said softly, somewhat tremulously, trying to get their attention. "Even if you have differences... Um... You can still get along, can't you? Instead of enemies, maybe... Maybe friendly rivals...?"

She had a bit of a pleading look on her face, that she wasn't aware of. She just hoped that they listened to her suggestion so they could part ways on a middle ground and meet again another day, when right and might, rather than hate and ill-intent, collided. Or something corny like that, that she'd seen in a bunch of anime and manga.

Teacher's pet pulls out another set of pencils, and launches them at close range with blinding speed. "Your plans do not reflect reality, YOU WILL PERISH!"

As she throws them, she looks back at Tetsuo. "Tetsuo, MOVE. I don't want you to be in the way of his attacks!"



Catnip and Neko continue wrestling, with Neko trying to push back, but Catnip's strength is unmatched. Neko is pushed against the wall, and she cannot quite push back. Catnip looks at Tetsuo. "We want to do something. She wants to stop us. The fate of the city rests on who wins."

Neko nods her head. "Good point. I might call the police on you!"

Catnip's face controts in confusion, and she slackens for a moment. "Oh, I thought you'd gather a ragtag group of OOOF!"

In the time she slacked, Neko used it to knee Catnip in the gut, and made a run for the door to the right, from Rose's perspective. Catnip recovered, and pounced after her, sending the fight to the ground.

Rose and Scientia, meanwhile, had realized something very important. The bars had been knocked together with such force, that a couple of them had become interwoven. They weren't getting out anytime soon.

[Teddy]

Genno, thinking as fast as he could, threw himself to the side, hitting the wall, and slid quickly towards the wall, looking at the few pencils that had actually hit. "D...Damn you... I'm not going to lose HERE." With this surge of emotion, the air around him burst into flames. "Care for round 2 now?"

[Mitera Nikkou]

Tetsuo wanted to yell at them, to tell them to stop, but she knew that it would be no use. As she watched things progress, she knew that she'd have to do something drastic... She couldn't allow this to go on! She had to find a way to end it, or at least put it on hold...

It didn't take long for her to think of what she could do. She didn't like it, but she could hope that her regeneration wouldn't make it too foolhardy of a decision, because she didn't really want to die... But it may just be the distraction needed, or perhaps something else, to end the fight, or allow Genno and Neko to escape... Or something.

She couldn't believe what kind of a typical character she had turned out to be, but she waited for the next attack from Genno or Teacher's Pet, waiting for the opportunity to jump between them and take whatever blows comes.

(OOC: So, when someone next attacks, include that Tetsuo manages to get in the way of the attack. I guess. I dunno. ^_^; )

[Teddy]

Genno snapped, the fire lashing out towards Teacher's Pet, his face twisted in hate.. Then it turned to outcry, as Tetsuo is hit by the rush of flames, and they suddenly stop, Genno falling to his knees. "Why.. Why did you do that? What kind of idiot does that kinda crap man!? This isn't a comic..."

Teacher's pet lets out a wordless roar, and she tackles Genno, sending them both crashing through the glass door, shards of glass impaling them both.

As they land in the corridor, Teacher's pet kneels over Genno, an Exacto-Knife in her hand. The corridor is a simple bridge, on one side is a metal wall, apparently the side that leads to the rest of the ship. But on the other side is the large poofy sacks, covered with metal connecting them. it extends in a semicircle around the bridge they are on.

Teacher's pet lifts the Exacto Knife. "Use your flames now, MURDERER! I should have slit your throat when I had the chance. Still, if you're gonna burn me too, you'll die with me. Welcome to the HINDENBURG! This is where we keep the HYDROGEN GAS!"

Catnip and Neko hear the scream, and they both stop rolling. Upon seeing Tetsuo wounded, they rush towards him. Neko stops when she sees Genno knocked into the other room. She looks towards Genno, then Tetsuo, and clenches her teeth. Sorry Elise...

She moves to help Catnip, and begins lifting Tetsuo out of the battle, towards the other corridor, and away from Gennosuke.
