The woman grinned sadistically.

"I do believe that your friend has the right idea, foolish one." She raised one of her hands into the light, showing off her long, talonish, blood-red fingernails, admiring them for a moment before she returned her hungry gaze to the three humans. "Not only will I harm you and kill you (with much delight, I might add), but I'll decorate the trees with your remains, to remember the occassion by."

She began to step toward the three humans, Holly the closest, Lily right behind her with Brenna at her side.

"Not without us making a fight for it, wench!" Brenna waved the pick, admittedly with more bravado than she actually felt.... In reality, she was distinctly creeped-out by this woman. Though she certainly wasn't about to let it on.... "Now do you see why we wanted to beat it?" she hissed to Holly.

Lily whispers to Holly and Brenna. "Let's just run VERY fast, I marked our path. On the count of three. Three."

She grabs Breena's hand, at the least, and will grab Holly's if she does not protest, and starts running like a demon fae woman is after her, which is surprisingly fast.

"You got it- whoa!" Brenna found herself being dragged in Lily's wake, stumbled, but managed to not fall down, in the name of not being destroyed by a floating demonic thing, and tore off along with Lily as fast as she could, trying to pull Holly along as well.

Holly gaped at the woman with wide eyes. She could only laugh half heartedly at how serious the woman was... "Oh dammet," Holly chucked her lanturn at the woman and about faced running full force.

(OOC: Hmmmm... I'm not sure if everyone had a lantern. Oh, well. XD)

All that Holly could see before she turned away from the woman, was the large glare in her eyes from the close proximity of the lantern. From then on, for all three, it became a frantic run, weaving through the trees, recovering from stumbling over tree roots, and sticking together.

However, just as Lily passed one tree in particular, a foot extended out from behind it and caught her leg, sending her falling to the ground. Brenna, being right behind her, fell over her, followed by Holly. Above them, the woman stepped out from the cover of the tree, looking down at you all triumphantly.

"Uh, uh-uhhhh... I'm afraid that you're not going anywhere." She said pleasantly.

Well, it was about as pleasant as it could be, considering that her eyes gave the impression that they beheld a feast.

"That when someone who looks like that and floats in the air pops up and claims they're going to kill you, you don't stick around to chat!" Brenna's voice was rather muffled, given that she was in the middle of the impromptu "sandwich." Under other circumstances she might find this situation funny.... But the very real threat to life and limb canceled out any inclination towards humor. "But I'll stick her with this pick as soon as she tries, if I can just get up!" How she had managed to land in this heap without accidentally sticking any of the three of them with said pick was a mystery that could be pondered later....

Brenna rolled her shoulders a bit as she got up. "No prob. I've had worse...." She held the pick in both hands, like one would a sword. "So, wanna sort the wicked witch out?"

Said "wicked witch", by the time they so liesurely sorted themselves out (I mean, they even had time to toss a few sentences around ^_^; ), was already in motion with her strike. Her fingernails had somehow grown to the length of a sword's blade, the kind that would require two hands, and it was bearing down on them. On her face was an expression of glee.

(OOC: Alright, I just need Stellar to post what Holly had done by then. It might seem of no use, considering the circumstances, but you never know...

Also, I was hoping to see no progressive posting, and an awareness of time... ^_^; Ah, well... More or less, this moon faery probably should have been attacking prior to what happened after Lily said, "Oh, sorry." It'll work out, though. 'Cause I'm the OP, aka goddess. ;p)

(OOC: Nuuuu. It's the same time, all of the time, unless I make time leaps (like I did for nightfall to arrive). Otherwise, you take your cues from situational things. You're probably thinking "comic" or "movie" time, where, for example, transformations take a minute but only takes an instant of time. Here, we don't have your typical baddie that just happens to take their time for some reason, or is like Jason, where he walks and manages to keep up with the runners. So, unless that talking and actions happened in an instant/quicker time frame... XD Time flows realistically with me, unless there's a need/atmosphere for a pause/slowing of time to get the thoughts of someone (example: someone just gets their ass kicked and, as they fall to the ground, they wonder how the other person managed to defeat them), or interjecting a comment or joke before continuing. Well, one lives and learns. And then you get to meet me, the Horrible One. :O)

Holly gasped and rolled to the side before she actually landed ontop of Brenna.

In the small instance that they quickly conversated, Holly watched the fae's nail grow to ... a swordlikething, and as the woman began aiming for the two piled ontop of eachother Holly scurried up and dove aiming to grab her hand.

(You can edit if I'm making too many actions, just trying to keep up with what the others have done so Holly is kinda in context)

In the blink of an eye, surprising even the odd-looking, evil woman, a thick, brown vine whipped around her wrist with an elasticity unbecoming of such a vine. The vine held tautly, its source lost into the shadows of the night.

Because her arm had been siezed from continuing its journey, Holly missed, her target not where she expected it to be.

"Run, quickly!" A voice cried from somewhere in the forest.

"What... What is this...!?" The woman screamed out her outrage, confused.

Despite knowing that only one of the fae could do that to her, and that it didn't make sense, she still went ahead and elongated the nails on her free hand, preparing to cut through the vine binding her other hand.

(OOC: You probably don't have to worry about time flow now. XD;; )
