Genno sighed and looked at a hang-glider. "I think.. Those might be our best bet. It'll at least be slower than the others... And I can try to land somewhere soft. Or I can see if I can spread wings and fly." He laughed at his final comment, trying to make the best of the newly grim situation.

[Xiao]

Xiao read over the instruction sheet, and noted the last part, "I see, well, unless you don't care how far away you are from that girl when you land, I would suggest choosing one quickly.

There's a stomping sound behind them. A figure dressed in black armor from head to toe, complete with lots of spikes, coughs. She is clearly feminine, with form-fitting armor, complete with a mask over her face. She's also carrying what looks like a Vulcan Cannon, normally mounted on planes, in her right hand, and a sword that's large enough to touch the ceiling in her left. She smiles. "So, YOU are the people who left Rose and Scientia stuck in those bars. I sent them off to get Catnip. As for you, unless you can get parachutes or fly on a broomstick in the time it takes me to pull the trigger, I would recommend begging for your lives."

She points the railgun, and pulls the trigger. There's a faint click. The armored faceplate gives the distinct impression of a guilty look. Nervous laughter emits from it. "Forgot to disengage the safety. Don't move."

She puts down her sword, and begins fiddling with her rail gun.

Genno thought.. He knew he couldn't take this girl in his current condition. He probably couldn't suffer a great shock in his current condition. He was screwed either way.... But if he was going to die, he was going to die with style. Free-falling at a few thousand feet with a hang-glider seemed like a good way to go. But.. It wouldn't involve Elise. "Hey.. Elise. I'll meet you back at the apartment. No matter what. Allright?" And with that, he grabbed a hang-glider, mounted it accordingly, and jumped out of the blimp, hoping to see Elise do the same. To hell with everyone else.

As he tries to mount the hangglider, he realizes that he has a slight problem. His left arm isn't moving right. Luckily, the hang-glider has a chest strap and such, so he won't fall, but his left arm simply won't move and grab the hang-glider. There's a shot of pain, and then it hangs limp. Still, he manages to take off fine.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Genno! Don't-" Elise leaped forward, trying to stop him, but it was too late- he had already gone. "The- and he asked me to stop him from doing anything stupid!" Not caring anymore, she too grabbed a hangglider, threw herself into what looked like the necessary position, and hurled herself after him. Genno- you stupid- don't get yourself killed on me! I still haven't told you that I-

[Teddy]

He laughed as he saw Elise swoop out of the blimp, and shouted up at her. "Sorry about this! But it was either fly or get filled with a buncha lead!" He wasn't sure if she could hear him... But he could explain it all after they got back home. And fixed his arm.

[Mistress Guendolen]

Luckily for him, the words did reach her; sound carries, after all. Hoping it would work in reverse, she yelled back, "Well, you're just lucky you're already hurt, 'cause otherwise I'd be tempted to whack you myself! You nearly gave me a heart attack!" He hasn't crashed yet- good- just make it down okay, come on, come on-

Thus, Xiao is left forgotten on a blimp with a broomstick, and a catgirl in armor. Said Catgirl flips a switch, and picks up the rail gun effortlessly. "So, now I can destroy you..."

She notices that all that is left is Xiao. "Oh, hi Black Mage. I love your comic. It's not going to keep me from killing you, but I just wanted you to know that. Considering that everywhere you go ends up a destroyed husk...wait, you DID use your Hadouken for the day, right?"

[Mistress Guendolen]

OOC: Can we assume that we make landing without anything more than the expected vague bumps from this sort of thing, then? Just checking. And sorry 'bout that, Xiao.... A girl is easily sidetracked when it comes to her boyfriend, I'm afraid....

[Teddy]

"I know! It keeps the game interesting!" Genno laughed and looked for a somewhat safe place to land.

(And Xiao... You'll get out. Dues ex Machina and all.)

[Mistress Guendolen]

"Interesting?! Well, glad you have fun almost getting killed!" We're getting closer! Land- land- oh, this is going to be tricky- don't want to crash into something bad-

OOC: And hey, technically he doesn't evne need deus ex machina. He has the staff. Just give a leap and fly down the rest of the way!

Hadoken? What is she talking about? he thought to himself after her statement, however instead of waiting for an explanation, he turned and jumped out of the blimp.

It was wonderous to feel unrestrained again. He closed his eyes for a moment as he fell and took in the feeling of near weightlessness. After a few seconds of falling he clutched his staff to his chest and looked down to where it was pointing, he felt himself start to excellerate before he pulled up, changing his direction and keeping him from slamming into the ground and dieing. He looked over and saw that the two riding hanggliders were about to land. Should make sure they land safely before running back to the appartment.. he thought as he flew towards them.

((Gah! I go to sleep early for one night and you three start posting away, I can't do anything anymore...))

The Catgirl blinks. "Ah, great. I scared him away. Least he didn't blow up the blimp."

Realizing what she said, she winces for a second, and waits for the coming disaster.

Five minutes later, she lets out a sigh, and quietly switches the safety back on.

"I can't believe the blimp didn't blow up. Well, time to get the team back together."

She walks back towards the prison block, in a rather good mood for having failed to catch the intruders.
