I've seen bits and pieces on TV, but I never stuck around to watch an entire episode... For the same reason I eventually lost interest with Sailor moon, Card Captor Sakura, and the like. A lot of anime that's based on manga, in order to generate an entire season for TV, often has more filler than plot, and you end up with a monster/problem/moral/et cetera-of-the-week. Besides which, I just didn't like the English voices... For me, it seems that they're okay for cartoons, but not anime... I don't know why, exactly. It just doesn't seem to match, to me.

In any case, I just don't feel comfortable roleplaying in an environment where I'm pretty much ignorant of the universe or theme. It makes me unsure of what I can do, and what I can't, and that indecision stunts my imagination.

Well, normally I'm the same way, but as I said, this was an extenuating circumstance. I don't know that I'd ever get a chance to put the artwork-created character to use, otherwise. And I am considering watching fansubs. I'm not interested in the English version, mainly because of the altered-names thing. That just really bugs me.... Oh, but to bring this back to the original subject momentarily, Kris, if you haven't watched the following video, you ought to:

It centers around your character's Mom and one of the alien guys, and is set to a song about Tarzan and Jane that is just so wonderfully random and silly. And the editing is pretty good. Quite amusing, even to a non-fan.

Yeah, I saw it...it's Tarb/Taruto and Kikki/Pudding. The episode is where Kikki discovers Tarb's plot to blow up the Tokyo Dam, and they get stuck under the earth.

Later on, (spoiler alert) the 3 main aliens turn good, and defeat Deep Blue with the mew mews. Tarb almost died until he was revived with the power up item Mew Aqua.

Cute picture! I'd been trying to figure out how she would look with her age essentially doubled. Oh, and I suspected something would happen with the alien guys when I watched a "tribute" video to them, and saw at least one of them died. It actually made things look more interesting, and I liked the song. The fact that one of them wields sai gets points in my book, too.

That would be Dren/Kishu. He fights the Blue Knight, whom Kikki suspects is Ryou Shirogane/Elliot Grant, but it's really Ichigo's main crush, Mark.

Can you help get that pic to a good avatar-size. Should I get permission from the artist before using it as my avvie?

Man, that Tokyo mew Mew rpg is going on great! Just need Renee/Zakuro's kid and we get to find the newest Mew Mew.

You might want to ask the artist, if it bothers you. Even though odds are he or she will never know. And it was avatar-sized already when I looked at it. Unless you want it even smaller? Yeah, the roleplay really is going with a swing. It seems to go pretty much constantly from about 10:30 onward.... Guess we all just seem to be online, then.

Besides, now that I've actually looked at the post count there, I notice that it moves too fast for me. It's working on 700 posts in nine days. X_X

Most of that stuff seems to happen in the last couple hours of the evening. Mos,t if not all, of the players seem to be regularly online in that time bracket. So it goes more quickly than one might normally expect, I think, because we're consistently and regularly interacting and volleying and so forth.
