The Nuclear Base/Power Plant.

Genno's eyes narrowed as he watch Teacher's pet grab Elise. His first instinct was to let his anger all out, but he couldn't risk Elise perishing in his flames as well. However... As soon as he heard the gunshot and Elise's shriek, saw her blood.. All bets were off. There was a sniper SOMEWHERE, and he was probably the next target. Screw it. If Elise's actions freed her from the head-lock, he could probably finish it.

A crazed sort of laugh came from Genno's throat, and blue/black flames errupted around him, the ground seemingly unphased. He seemed to strain with his words. "R.. Run Elise."

[Mistress Guendolen]

OOC: Sorry, can't respond until I know whether or not what I did was sufficient to get me out of that headlock.... At least one move (the elbow jab) was drawn from real-life self-defense practice for such a situation, but since someone else's character is involved, it's not up to me at the end.

Rose grimaces. "I can't see right. I need you to spot for me, tell me who to shoot...BUT DUCK FIRST!" She jumps backwards, and the fireball explodes in the spot where she once was, setting another fire in the trees. "Cancel that, follow me!" She scans the area, and locks onto Xiao, charging at him like she's a football linebacker.

Tetsuo, meanwhile, is lucky not to be also hit by the fireball. The fire, however, might be problematic.


As for Elise, what happens next is something best described as Inconcievable. Teacher's Pet begins muttering to herself, smething about F=MA, and the mass of Elise's umbrella. Her hand releases Elise's neck, and smashes into the umbrella, stoping it cold in mid-air, the force of the two colliding exactly the same. Her right hand flies downward, but misses Elise's elbow. Teacher's pet staggers back from the blow, leaving her facing Elise's back.

When she sees Genno begin to erupt with flames, and decides to get away. "See you inside!" She runs back towards the facility, and where the disarmed bombs are kept.

Neko and Catnip both look at Genno, and look at each other. They stop wrestling, and begin running for their lives. Though, they don't do a very good job, since Catnip grabs Neko by the tail, and tries to leapfrog over her, only for Neko to backflip, and lock her legs around Catnip's ankles, sending them both to the ground again.

Xiao watched as Rose charged towards him, amazed at her speed given her size. He quickly ran to the side in attempts to avoid the charge, but turned after a few yards and chanted,

Telum de levitas , vado quod reddo meus inimicus unmoveo.

A bolt of lightning sprung from his fingertips and began to head towards Rose, his current favorite spell, the first that Zin had taught him, he couldn't get anywhere close to killing with it yet, but it's voltage was slightly higher than a tazer.

Tetsuo, caught up in the moment, didn't know what else to do other than to listen to Rose. She did manage to pick up the open ammunitions case without the little drawers falling all of the way out, thanks to a feature of said drawers. And while she had the case in one hand, she had a bullet in the other, that she hadn't had a chance to give to Rose since she had been distracted by Xiao's spells.

So, without thinking, she threw the bullet somewhere between Rose and the approaching bolt of lightning, hoping the bolt would be attracted to whatever metal the bullet was made out of, or would just take the attack.

(OOC: While I know that lightning and electricity are instantaneous (really fast), I figure that this is magic and not science, which is why the bolt wasn't described as striking immediately like lightning would. But you can ignore the throwing bullet action if I'm wrong or something.)

((No, you're right, the lightning isn't an instantaneous action, though also because of the magic>science thing, it isn't necessarily attracted to metal. ))

(OOC: In which case, I hope the bullet takes the hit, since it seems like the type of thing that effects its first contact instead of pushing through. Since its property is like electricity.)

Elise spun around, clumsily; suddenly she was free, but... that wench had almost damaged her special umbrella. And now she was heading for the facility. "C'mon, Genno! She's getting away!" She ran after TP- or tried to, anyway. Having just been shot in the leg was proving to be distinctly hampering her movements.... The run was more akin to a rapid, lopsided stagger. Every movement of that leg seemed to jar, as though a nail was being driven through her skin. Can't- stop- keep- going- But still, it hurt so much.... But she had to do her part, she wasn't going to give in, she was not going to be some stupid useless weight around everyone else's necks.... Even so, that tiny voice in the back of her head said that she might need to do something rudimentary about this soon, or she might not be able to so much as walk anymore at all.

[Teddy]

"El.. Elise. Please stay here. Tend to your... Wounds. I can handle this pathetic cat person." With that, Genno rushed inside after TP, his image blurring as he moved.

[Mistress Guendolen]

"I'll- manage- but only if you- slow down!" At this point, however, she really couldn't move any faster; in fact, every step was slower than the last. She sagged limply against a wall, breathing heavily. "Be careful, Genno...." she whispered. "Don't do anything stupid... just come back to me safe and whole...." Then, really not able to effectively move well anymore, breathing still ragged, she bunched up her skirt and petticoat to try to take stock of the damage. Hopefully it won't be as bad as it feels.... I- I can bind it, and then try to catch up....

Tetsuo's strategy...actually works surprisingly well. Especially since there's a large bang, and more than one bullet falls to the ground. In fact, seven.

Rose stands rather close to where Xiao was standing, a six-shooter in her hand. She flicks the gun out, sending six shells flying into the air, and slams an automatic loader into the gun. Six fresh bullets slid in, as it shuts with a click. She aims it at Xiao, and smiles. "Let's hear it for the Yankee Rose..."

Six shots fly out in less than the time it takes a coin to flip, one aimed for Xiao's heart, one aimed for his head, one aimed for his right shoulder, one aimed for his left shoulder, one aimed for his right hip, one aimed for his left hip. Not even Vampire Hunter D could dodge.

Genno quickly catches up to Teacher's Pet, who has nearly reached the facility for disarmed bombs, seperate from the main power facility. At least one soldier was guarding it, at least until his body was pinned to the wall. As she sees him catch up, she tosses a flurry of pencils at Genno, and leaps into the air, feet headed towards the wall of the facility.

OOC: Okay, on the subject of shots, about where on the leg did mine hit, and did it pass through or did the bullet lodge there? I just like having those bits of background info, for post-writing purposes. And you know more about Rose's ammo than I do.

[Xiao]

Xiao heard the shots, and not having time to think, he did the first thing that came to mind. He forced his hand forward and concentrated on the energy he used to propel his staff through the air, but focused it on the air before him in a desperate attempt to divert the bullets away from fatal points on his body. The magical desperation was beginning to wear him out, though he was doing a good job at concealing it.
